My Nameless header dyno results (results to follow)
Hi FT86Club I'm going next week to get dyno tuned and will be posting up my dyno numbers for anyone that is curious to know what magic this header is capable of. I have all other supporting N/A mods minus the BPB:thumbdown:. I'm planning on well over 200 whp which will be easily attained as I did speak to John from Nameless over this passed weekend at Englishtown after the FD event. I will update with results next week. Here are some shots of my setup.
My Engine mods are: Engine: ECUTek stage 2 flex fuel tune by Motoeast Motoeast flex fuel kit w/ zeitronix ethanol content analyzer Buddy Club P1 racing pulley set Perrin cold air intake (gold wrapped) Perrin 3" inlet pipe 68mm throttle body Crawford Performance AOS Nameless Performance long tube header (ceramic coated) Motiv Concepts 2.5" overpipe Motiv Concepts 2.5" catless front pipe MXP catback exhaust Forester turbo oil cooler setup Eneos 0w-20 sustina engine oil **Update**(6/28/16) http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...6a0cf7a6ec.jpg This is the dyno results 198whp & 162wtq. The Dyno reads on the low side so for a fact I know im over 200 whp. A previous car was tuned on the same dyno as me put down 195whp and went to another shop and that same car made 207whp with no tune change. As well as when I was tuned it was 91 degrees ambient temps. I'm thinking somewhere around 210whp with cooler temps. The car pulls harder than before. BIG thanks to Mike @ Motoeast. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...835d2095cf.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...1fff24b756.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...557aa73609.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...147fc00535.jpg |

interesting...never knew the nameless header was a long tube design!

I love the nameless headers. Too bad they are hardly visible because they are a beautiful design.
|
Can't wait to see the results for this.

Subbed!

I'm hoping to have a build similar to yours not too far from now except I'm running the ACE Type-B 350 header and I'm curious of the performance differences between Nameless and ACE since they take different approaches to the same end goal (long tube EL headers). EDIT: I posted this before actually looking at your build thread. I have maybe 1/20th the mods you do. Haha. Most are where it counts, just ain't as pretty as yours...yet. |
**UPDATED up top**
|
What are the total mods? I know you stated all the NA "supporting mods" but then you don't even hit 200 HP. :(

Dyno's vary, but you are proven to be 198 on E85.
|
Can you feel that tiny torque dip now?

Given strict emission standards these days imho these engines make loads of power even completely stock. Yes, honda's 4 bangers or rotaries of mazda would be able to get more .. but not revolutionary more. Imho NA FA20 is undeservedly overshadowed by turbo engines of subaru but in reality is damn fine engine on it's own even with it's quirks like torque dip and seemingly lack of power. We simply maybe are too spoiled with loads of torque of more and more common turbo engines these days.

I'm surprised you're putting so much stock in guaranteed X rating of horsepower. You gained X hp over stock, that's what dynos are a useful tool of. Comparing power bands, and what percentage of a gain you've achieved over stock/the last reading, or running cars back to back.

Not knocking on OP but literally every person who posts a dyno is the history of ever claims that theirs is low reading.
