My Farewell post.

Hey guys meant to do this earlier but i have sold my Scion FRS and now own a Lexus as my only car. I bought 3 different Lexus cars while i owned my FRS i found myself modding and spending more time with those cars. I was ignoring my FRS totally. Also 2 car payments isnt always fun. I loved my FRS and the community here and wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone. :thanks:

Here are some pics for attention of my current car. (still a toyota product)

That exhaust is beautiful! <3
Lexus is looking like a fine car, enjoy it!

Congratulation!!!

Now, get the *BEEP* out of here.

brandonblt2 06-02-2016 04:01 PM

Love the color it reminds me of the lexus LFA

Celica00 06-02-2016 04:08 PM

What was it about Lexus that drew you in? What was it about the FRS that you found wanting?

SkAsphalt 06-02-2016 04:21 PM

My god... jealous. Nice buy man!

mulekr1 06-02-2016 04:22 PM

I wanted a RC-F way more than my BRZ.
Different tax brackets though lol

Braces 06-02-2016 04:25 PM

I'm still trying to get used to Lexus building a sportscar.

stock 06-02-2016 04:34 PM

Keep your chin up, you can always buy another FRS when you get your head on right.

FX86 06-02-2016 04:39 PM

kodos78 06-02-2016 04:53 PM

Somebody has to do it.

MightyMeeple 06-02-2016 05:15 PM

I've had my eyes on the RC right up through the launch...great looking car. I have not seen many out in the wild. Is yours a 350 or an F? Would you mind posting your impressions of the car and any comparisons you would draw with the FR-S?

Thanks!

It is an F, his Instagram said he traded up from the v6 to the F model.

I loled. I have been looking at that car and got the feeling like it had a lot of the twins personality, but all grown up. It doesn't surprise me someone else stepped up to one. I'd get one too, but I would have to sell all my other cars to buy one. I'm still not against that idea, it's stunning.

Go either alphabetically or in ascending order of "cost per mod to be Lexus-like"

Not a slam on our 86's... but it is what it is and it does it well (within its design spec) and there ARE alternatives that better fit a desire that simply cannot be met (with reasonable $$) with mods to an 86.

This is how I fulfilled my desire for horsepower with some decent handling (i.e, not spending lots of $$ for FI and ancillary mods to the 86)...

Enjoy!!!

What.. you couldn't hold out for an LFA?

youd be surprised what you can buy one for

gtslow 06-02-2016 11:05 PM

So do you have crickets in this car too?

I mean I know how I can get one on the cheap so when I find one that runs through and it isn't to bad i'll place a bid on it. At the time when I was looking for a car the BRZ seemed cool and all, at that time I was also cross shopping (looking at insurance auction listings lol) for A IS250 F Sport. When i'm ready though thats deff gonna be my next move. Reminds me of a BRZ's big bro tbh

I had a IS350 then RC350 and finally the RCF. THe first thing you notice are 2 things how quiet the lexus is and the differences in Weight and how nimble the FRS is. The RCF is like large fighter jet, line it up where you are trying to and it growls in that direction. The Weight of the vehicle is definitely noticeable. However the RCF feels more planted, where as the FRS you kinda feel like a rock skipping across the water like a dragonfly. MY RCF i have installed a Nitrous express kit. you car actually feel your neck muscles fighting the Gs. Also alot of people complain about the RCF having a paddle automatic. But this car Full throttle shifts. and in sport mode it shifts HARD. you can definitely feel and see the luxury and care taken in the build quality in the RCF. and for 3 times the cost you should.

The IS250 fsport is very nice. However, do not buy that car if you enjoy acceleration. They make a IS300 which has replaced the 250 motor

is250 204 hp 185trq
2016 IS300 v6 awd only 255 hp 236 trq
2016 IS200t 2.0turbo RWD only 241hp 255tq (bolt on turbo parts availability increasing as we speak!

there are, but its a lighter click. can barely hear it cold or hot motor. this car has 4 engine drive modes. It has ECO mode which takes the motor from OTTO cycle to Atkinson's cycle (engine timing and fuel injection is just like a prius)

Teseo 06-03-2016 10:36 AM

Better lexus than mustang

its worth it. This car like the FRS was built to drive FAST. with my mods 60 to 100 is so easy. and like the frs going 80 feels like 40. Alot of the reviews complain about its acceleration. but with headers back intake and lightweight wheels the car is faster than alot of oem cars out there. Im not much of a track guy but i have never tried. i need to do it aleast once in this car.

Shit, I'd leave the FRS too if I could afford the RCF. That thing looks awesome in person!
