Cleaning animal blood off front bumper?
My current commute is a 100 miles round trip. It is going to be that long for another month. The way to my job is kind of through the country. There is roadkill plastered on the road more often than not.
I have never hit a animal or intentionally driven over one. I make sure to avoid them as I am a very cautious driver. But, two times in a week there has been animal blood on my bumper. It is a brand new 16' limited. I'm taking care of it. I don't want to touch it and I am pretty squeamish so it's abit difficult. If I am honest. The first time I took a car wash pressure washer to it. Never gone through an automatic wash..don't want to. What is the best way to take care of this? |
I'd say keep doing what you are doing, using that pressure washer.
If it gets the job done, it gets the job done. |
Yes, just keep blowing water at it and the "animal" blood will eventually soften up and come off.

What about a bio-degradable enzyme for removing pet stains on carpets?

bug/tar remover and a rag.

It won't hurt you man. Just use any sort of paint cleaner Bug/tar remover with a microfiber and it will come off. You can get it at any auto parts store or walmart, etc. Don't worry, you won't get any diseases or HIV.

In Oregon, this is very common. I use a wash mit, and warm soapy water. Which is how I wash my car. Do you have access to compressed air? Detailing the outside with it helps me. Just don't use it near any plastidip parts. Lol

I thought of that. If it's safe on carpet, then chances are it will be ok. It's more than tar removal. I always keep some on hand just because we have dogs and they are transported in my wife's QX56. I've used it several times for blood stains and it just lifts it away without bleaching. Our last vet always trimmed our dog's nails to short... |

How about cold water and a soft brush .......:)

50/50 watered down rubbing alcohol. Re-wax after you use this. Also, keep up the front bumper with a quick detailer every couple of days, it should help bugs from sticking.
|
I've heard you shouldn't use pressure washer on cars since it's typically too much pressure and hurts the paint/clearcoating. Maybe that's for the industrial pressure washers? Do they have car specific pressure washers where there isn't as much pressure?
|
My white bumper becomes brown, black, green, yellow, and red from all the bugs I encounter on a daily basis. Clay bar will help remove blood and guts. Just make sure to wax after.
|
That is, after thoroughly washing first.
