Tiffany

I had to share this in the forums...

I am in love with this Tiffany. Love the build!

What do you guys think?

In my opinion, way too over done. As a SEMA car, the budget sounds right, though. You hear him mention the drawbacks of such mods though, the roll cage/wing eliminate the already small back window..

It looks cool, I'll give it that.

Yea I agree with most mods. Not all of them.

Definitely looks good tho.

This car was just recently bought in California for a highschool student.. I believe the new owner lives in the East Bay area here in Northern California as I see it all over the place now.

This now makes 2 ex-SEMA 86's that now reside in East Bay that are both owned by Highschool students whose fathers' bought the car for them.

DuMa 05-11-2016 11:54 AM

no imagination at all.

T-minus a month (give or take) before they are both wrapped around a signal light pole.

Aren't highschoolers roaming around town in supercars over there just like here in Canada?

Braces 05-11-2016 12:37 PM

Curious how the steering feels with those large front tires. Skinny front tires would seem to be more lively with a lighter steering feel.

Well if you think about it from a price standpoint, despite all these mods the BRZ/GT86 are still fairly cheap compared to 40k+ performance cars that are out on the market.

I can see why a rich father would be okay with spending 25-30k for a ricer rather than thousands more for an expensive Porsche or BMW.

Ha ha! Owned by a High schooler! I had NO car in high school, I lived on post.

Love the color!

Came here expecting an 80s tribute. Left disappointed.

Not a bad build, but good lord I cannot stand that color or any variance of it. I remember when mint green was THE color to have on show cars, and it was almost headache inducing. For me, at least.

Beat me to the exact same comment...

As far as the car, well, typical overdone car that won't age well. As far as the other Tiffany, well IMHO she improved with age... (this is a SFW picture, but if you search for "Tiffany Singer 2016" be careful..apparently she did a Playboy photo shoot)

I'm a fifth year in college and still have no car.

What is it with kids these days with nice cars in high school?

haha at my old high school I saw many M3's, a GTR, and a Lotus Elise. I thought that was alot, now in university I don't even double take when I see a Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini... They are more common than the twins :/

Poodles 05-11-2016 09:29 PM

It was repainted, so I'm hoping the original color was the purple shown in the engine bay? If so, they're F$#^ing stupid as the car looks like shit in that color now.

Also, the steering wheel clashes with the purple roll bar.

And most people I've met don't like those tail lights.

And rocketbunnies are overdone and frankly they're the ugliest widebody I've seen. Given all the exposed tire because the flares don't fully cover it, it's going to be a drag (literally).

spike021 05-11-2016 10:07 PM

what the hell??? Those are hella fancy cars!! where did you go to high school, Beverly Hills?

You might have a case there. Inspired by this other wide-body 'tiffany' of the same colour maybe?

Hey it looks nice on a twin. Whether "original" or not. Could care less.

Adding on, most RBs (not just FRS/BRZ) I've seen online and in person look horrible to me due to the exposed rivets. If it was filled in, it'll look more like a "complete" project.

The way most people leave it, the car looks like some sort of Frankenstein... thing.

Surprisingly, I saw that car in person in East Bay.. still not around a pole when I was there last month... lol

D88 05-12-2016 01:17 PM

Someone with a lot of money went to a few websites and bought every bolt-on part they could find. I guess the car showcases the aftermarket support out there. Not impressed by these builds.

LOL, I just read the article and came across this: "His most prized possession is a $600,000 Lamborghini Aventador Roadster Galaxy, its exterior custom wrapped to resemble outer space."

Funny enough, I remember seeing that car parked outside a shopping mall in what I remember was a emergency only, or handicap only spot.

There's a white Liberty Walk Ferrari 458 here in Markham that does the same thing, only parks in the handicap spot at the local plaza. :iono:
