That looks awesome, very clean. I gotta ask though, how do you turn on your heated seats? :D

churchx 05-09-2016 09:20 PM

Probably lower trim w/o heated seats. Most of logo badges i've seen for that place, have no cutouts for seat heating switches.

iamjacob 05-09-2016 09:24 PM

Sorry, forgot to turn on the sarcasm font for the second sentence.

I live in the South. Heated seats are about as useful as snow tires.

Are there any sources for these after YoSpeed stopped making them?

It's made from 1/4" acrylic. One side is clear, the other is frosted. If you have a design, let me know. Or I can use tat same design with a different name or whatever. I did this one with a V bit, but I can do a straight cut as well.

because the car came with them. also they're surprisingly nice for the 10 days a year it gets below 40.

iamjacob 05-12-2016 01:12 PM

I use mine about the same amount as kch but the buttons came with the car if you wanted keyless entry and push button ignition.

After having a keyless car it's really hard to go back if you have the option not to.

Does anyone know where I could buy a high quality plaque for a car with seat warmers?

There used to be a vendor on here that made them, but they stopped right before I was about to buy.

Could you dremel out the ones that are available on amazon?

KritiK 05-15-2016 08:05 AM

Here is mine, made by Spanish guy in carbon fiber

Would you be willing to share how exactly you made your badge? What tools, software, procedure? I'd love to do this, but my efforts so far using my wife's craft cutter were extremely underwhelming. I've created a design in a vector graphics file that I'm happy with, but can't figure out how to actually get it cut into anything.

Thanks!

Barry

I kind of prefer stock parts without dandruff.

Interesting, very interesting. Start button relocated, heating seat switches relocated, and much wider phone shelve under AC buttons. One of small annoyances of that shelve being too narrow for modern smart phones on cars with smart start fixed.

Norville Rogers 05-18-2016 06:01 PM

That is neatly done. Like the starter location

As with everything in life, its a mater of perspective. If you have no heated seats then I guess that area would kinda work out as a coin tray. To me it's wasted space and, with those that have heated seats, a pretty ugly oversight on the part of the interior designers.

I would never use it for that, but yeah, no need for heated seats so I guess thats the only functionality it can have. Nice place for a plaque.

I use a 3 axis cnc. Getting just requries your CAD/CAM software of choice but even a 2d program should be able to handle it.

bravo831 05-20-2016 09:51 PM

Love it!!!

Ry.ruzn 05-22-2016 11:39 PM

@Jive Turkey I need this start button/seat heater button relocation in my life. how much to have you do mine? Ill drive up,I'm only in PA.lol
