That car demands respect now! Not so much with the Scion badge.
Nice work! Did you have much trouble getting the big emblem off?

mechaghost 07-02-2012 04:20 PM

Looks better with the T

F3dzo 07-02-2012 04:33 PM

The big emblem, hah my boy at the dealer removed it. They have a special solution to remove the gunk.

T? What does it look like ?

r4m3n 07-02-2012 04:52 PM

Got mine on this weekend too. Was a pain to remove the Scion logos off. Did you get the wheel caps too?

I removed the logos from the wheel caps.. Just gonna paint em black. Not gonna pay almost a hundred bucks on caps for rims I'm gonna replace soon

The "T" he is referring to is the Toyota badge. If you notice the Toyota badge spells every letter of the word "Toyota". Just sayin

F3dzo 07-02-2012 05:10 PM

Oh ok, like in the pic of the lava 86 with the GT 86 badge

TRD_86 07-02-2012 07:36 PM

Like the unique TRD badge. Where did you get it? Why not put it on the right at the old frs location?

Trojan_SC 07-02-2012 08:27 PM

Looks nice. I got my emblems and wheel caps put on last thursday. Emblems where pretty stuck on, floss wasn't doing it. So I used a credit card to get thru the adhesive lol.

Sportsguy83 07-02-2012 08:35 PM

Looks REALLY good!!

ike44 07-02-2012 10:29 PM

What can be done about the Scion logo on the steering wheel? Can that just be taken off like the outside logos or will it require an entirely new steering wheel?

86_ZN6 07-02-2012 10:31 PM

take out the TRD badge and put "TOYOTA" just like the GT86

GenkiElite 07-02-2012 11:23 PM

Looks good but if I didnt have any TRD parts I wouldnt put on a TRD badge.

That 86 logo is such a good idea, makes people wonder what the hell kind of brand your car is.

Are your tail light housings blacked out? Don't seem as chrome as usual.

carson toyota

search the commercial sales forum

part numbers are useless because US dealerships can't order them

Yea, I was wondering if these are the same as any Toyota Camry badge... Or are we just paying to say we have JDM :-)

the size is different, the holes are different

as discussed before, carson already compared the badges to most of toyota badges he has in his parts department and none was a close match

Not finding this carson sales forum. But I did a quick search on eBay and these FT86 badges are going for 80+ dollars plus shipping. Is this the right price?

They'll think that shakeweight has started making cars :P

SpecPer 07-05-2012 01:38 PM

We have the toyota badges in stock

avusblue 07-05-2012 02:10 PM

The 2012 Corolla trunk badge (the oval "T") has the same dimension as the front Scion oval badge: 11.0cm by 7.5cm. Can't tell you if the alignment pegs are the same, but if they are different, the pegs can be broken off and not used.

I have one of these emblems on order from my local dealer and will update the group when it comes in.

See this post for a bit more discussion about it.

I'm also considering putting a Subaru oval on there instead....:D

We also offer these badges, our website is www.aj-racing.com and if you have any questions, please email us at info@aj-racing.com

not seeing the Toyota emblem on your website, can you provide the specific link?

Liquidsnake 07-05-2012 03:04 PM

And so the steering wheel will just rock the scion name?

Thats what it seems like, unless you want to spend a few hundred on a new FT86 airbag with the Toyota emblem. Give it a few months and I am sure that some aftermarket company will have a better solution.

Liquidsnake 07-05-2012 04:30 PM

I am to OCD to change the badges. I mean it would bother me a lot.

I agree with you. I am the same way. Plus I don't think there is any thing wrong with driving a scion. I get so much flak for my MR2 being a Toyota. So when you say " I drive a Scion" people seem to give it more respect. At least they do where I live.

Fish 07-05-2012 09:32 PM

I covered the scion emblem on my steering wheel with some black vinyl tape.
