I like round wheels. They are rather common these days .. but still, there is something right that feels about them.

hello. 04-22-2016 01:02 AM

@churchx I guess you can say they feel well-rounded....

Whatever you pick, make sure you get some spacers with camber built in. That way you can save money on suspension!!

To give you a non-bullshitted answer;

The enkei RPF1's are a very very popular choice for wheels from enthusiasts on theses forums. They are lightweight and relatively inexpensive. I personally like the Enkei RS05RR's better than the RPF1.

I have Rays 57xtreme's on my car and they are one of the best looking wheels for this car. They have a very nice concave shape with beautiful centercaps.

It's all going to come down to personal preference and your budget.. Like for example I like the Volk TE37's in the double pressed graphite but those are $800+ a wheel and will be a goal for me to own one day but I sure do love my current Rays as well.

Favourite wheels? Hmm....

TE37SL, TE37RT. ZE40 or Advan GT.

Clipdat 04-22-2016 12:55 PM

Well fortunately for the budget conscious shopper, Rota knocked them off and called them the "RT5".

It is crazy the number of wheels that are available for the Twins and so many suit the car. I like RFP1, Apex, Watanabe, several Rays..... sorry can't help as I am in the same predicament.

RS-Watanabe F8

I like 'em so much I waited 4 months to get them!

Sorry, I lied.

My absolute favorite wheels for the car are the TRD Tosco wheels.

But since only 3 sets exist (I believe that number is correct) pretty much none of us will ever get them. So I bought my 2nd favorite set, the Wats.

Yeah, I need to get aftermarket spring perches to lower my car a bit more, the OE perches add a lot of height. The coilovers are maxed out in the front on that 2nd pic in my first post. Gonna go somewhere between another .5"-1" lower.

It won't get quite as slammed as that other car, because it gets tracked.

churchx 04-22-2016 01:12 PM

There are many that are available for the Twins? I couldn't find any 20x12" that will fit flush with -20 camber :( when dropped 5". Probably you are kidding me.

asdf 04-22-2016 01:19 PM

first post, no sizing, no poll of "i like these," no information whatsoever... nothing!

what the fuck.

lupindub 04-22-2016 03:38 PM

I think the RP03 in SBC finish looks pretty snazzy on our car's. (This is not my pic/car btw!)

Would love to see a car rolling with a set of those installed. :laughabove:

My favorite wheels are the Rays Gramlights 57FXX, which I have on my car. I requested the silver-colored center caps with raised lettering (instead of the red center cap that comes defaulted) with the gloss black coloring of these wheels - I really love how perfectly (IMO) concave the 'flatter-faced' (not 9" + wide) version of these wheels are, and how well the center cap works with the wheel to make it 'pop.'

Here are a few poorly-lit images of them on my car -

My 'other' favorite wheel for our car would be the WedsSport SA10-R (especially with the blue finish), although I'm not a fan of the center caps that come with the wheel (nor the absence of any with it, as it just leaves a gaping hole.)

You are not alone. Choosing wheels is hard. Are you choosing a set purely based on looks? We need more details.

You would have to order them through a vendor; each wheel is made and boxed-up individually. Therefore, you should be able to order any number that you want - I imagine a few people place an order for just one, etc to replace a damaged wheel now and then.

The pricing listed should be for just one wheel, unless said website specifically states "set of x," etc.

"would look best" to whom? You? - that's simplest, browse pics of many, settle to ones you like best. To others? Which part of others? Specified by what? Just very few that bother to post in this thread? Will they represent tastes in wheel designs you are expecting good enough? Or you expect to inquire tastes of some other specific group of people? After all, there are no best wheel design that everybody will like most. Not even one that majority will like best.
You could as well post polling thread 'which is your favourite color' and then buy car according results of poll. Or 'what is your favourite food', and then keep eating that even if you hate it. That would make sense as much as asking for favourite wheel looks in this thread, thus mostly one can expect just trolling responses in return due sensless question being asked.
If you really want, my favourite design is rally like one, like eg. Enkei RC-G4, OZ Racing Leggenda, Sparco Terra. Speedline Corse, Compomotive TH2, Method Rally Wheels and so on .. and even if i like those looks most i bought different, because all of wheels of such design are heavy.
There can be others, that may prefer some type of design, but valuing function of weight/strength/cost over form of looks.
Just. Go. With. What. YOU. Like. Best. It's your car, it's your money you want to spend to enhance looks. If you are attention whore and devalue your own taste below 'what others will say', then ask specific group of people, by taste of which you absolutely must have wheels over what you like yourself. And if you ask for tastes of someone specific, specify taste of whom exactly you want to know opinion/taste of and follow through over your own preferences. Boss? Wife? Others in family? Some local car owner group (where also everyone may have different preferences)? This whole forum? Everybody has own taste/likes/dislikes.

Sorry, how aggressive/bashing this post sounds, but judging by relative amount of trolling/flaming/joking responses here, i'm not alone, to whom this thread/opening post doesn't make any sense at all.
