Topic: Canards
I am NOT here to hurt any feelings, just to get a poll of people on this forum about the current fads nowadays. None of the photos are mine and found on google images. I do realize that they are for a reason but for mostly street cars some may never reach the speed needed for these to be useful. What do you think?

If you never go to the track, fuck your canards.

Summerwolf 03-14-2016 01:17 PM

Only if you're tracking IMO. Doubtful many people that dual purpose these cars truly need the aero.

Tcoat 03-14-2016 01:30 PM

NON! Les canards sont pas riz.
Sont la viande.

Come on CANADAINS what is a canard?

Takumi788 03-14-2016 01:37 PM

Nice. My decision to install them was my FUNCTIONAL front splitter. The splitter looked really big without the canards to balance it out. In all fairness my car only sees the street as a means to get from track to track.

Depending on if you're speaking in english or french, they're clearly different.

However, regardless of language in use, my response stays the same.

go_a_way1 03-14-2016 01:53 PM

ST185RC 03-14-2016 01:59 PM

LOL @ people putting on shit that adds drag to their car for every day driving. Any people say this car was slow, stock.

might as well add fishnet stockings to go with the theme.

FR-Sky 03-14-2016 02:00 PM

looks hella good,,i would get it if its cheap.
but its so dam expensive,,2 pieces of that almost 200 bucks...
I rather invest on my suspension system =]

Celica00 03-14-2016 02:02 PM

Four

Don't forget us "it is a great little commuter car" guys that don't really go overboard in either of the other two directions but do some slight mods.

And

The "what is a mod?" leave it stock and are perfectly happy with it crowd (probably the vast majority of owners that are not on here).

Was going to mention @humfrz as the "what is a mod" but then I remembered about his Nameless axle back (I miss the one I used to have, so I'm a bit jealous) and his drop-in air filter. God damn street racer!

There are probably way more on here than you would think but like people with no issues you just don't hear from us so it is deceptive.

Don't see many "didn't change anything today " posts.

good point!! And they probably dont post as much because they dont have to ask a bunch of stupid questions like "will it fit" (thats what she said)

Or they can research existing topics and already know what will or will not fit.

I wish we had more members like that haha! Honestly it hasnt been too bad lately with the dumb questions. Most new topics I have seen are legit.

finch1750 03-14-2016 02:16 PM

I think the problem is you only can say yes or no when pretty much every edition of this has an answer with a "but" or "unless" attached

Yeah but we are talking about things people do just for the look. Of course there are going to be legit people who use a part like this but most people do it for the look, so are those people making their car nice or rice?

You have to realize any and every part is controversial...

mazeroni 03-14-2016 02:52 PM

When a car earns the right to wear them, they are nice.

On an 86, NO!

If you are using them because you go fast enough to put pressure on them, great. If you are using them because you like the way they look and never go that fast, duh da ta da, GREAT!

Quit wasting your time trying to feel superior to others because you don't like their style. Unless what they are doing is clearly unsafe to the rest of us on the road i don't really care what people do to their own cars. I don't like a lot of it, but I can appreciate that they gain enjoyment in modifying their car just like I do mine, good on you. :w00t:

Both. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Packofcrows 03-14-2016 06:26 PM

go_a_way1 03-14-2016 06:30 PM

this goes with anything anyone does to his or her car. They put a park bench behind their car, sure its fine because its their car, but to the rest of us 4 wheel enthusiast, this is just absurd.

So yes, some of us need a slap in the face, this is reality. Not because you hide behind doors no body see's you. You're still an idiot

themadscientist 03-14-2016 06:39 PM

Post a picture of your car since you are so sure your style is the alpha and omega. We will see if we all agree with it.

I bet you get great gas mileage!

Really well constructed model.

DailyDriver86 03-14-2016 06:53 PM

forgive my english

I believe there are many who are still slightly so immature to have a sports car such as the GT86/BRZ. They need to customize much to achieve attention. I think the word is Pu$$y magnet. But some our friends are still young. To them they get a lot of attention. And Pu$$Y likes stupid guys with stupid body kit.

themadscientist 03-14-2016 06:57 PM

Sorry to hear about you not, getting any *****?

Sell the econobox wannabe sports car, buy a BMW and a nice watch. Don't change your personality, though; it's spot on for attracting that type of girl.

Well, off to work. I hope everyone approves of my style. I'm so insecure.
