Two years and 20k miles...

long term review

Went 250 hp and back with a vortech kit on OFT.

Good alignment -1.5 rear, -2.5 front,

top hats -raceseng, rear spl lcas

subframe bushings and ventus rs3s

rce yellows,

rpf1s, project mu fluid, carbotech 9s,

nice set of tanabe gauges, full exhaust...sick

went back to street legal (no sc)

It's funny, I don't feel a torque dip even after the sc uninstall.

carbon creations ed vented hood, seibon rear bumper trim and trunk

Not sure how much of a review this is. But why'd you ditch the Vortech kit?

misooscar 03-06-2016 09:53 PM

needed cash

strat61caster 03-06-2016 10:01 PM

Where do you live that the Vortech isn't street legal? If a car mod is legal in California...

Cole 03-06-2016 10:04 PM

How is this a review? More like a parts list

Trust86 03-06-2016 10:08 PM

Didn't click with me first last time I looked at their site, yeah looks like the $6k complete package is the only one that will be CARB legal, however I'd be surprised if Vortech wasn't happy to send you a tune and a sticker for a price much less than what OP paid to have a "non street-legal SC"

Trust86 03-07-2016 10:57 PM

What's the difference between the CAFB version and CARB version?

Do you mean headers without a cat aren't legal in California ...... ?? I thought some headers were CARB certified .... ??

Don't be confusing an old man ........ I thought maybe California came up with a new (CAFB) regulation ...... :confused0068:

I think back in the day some honda headers were CARB but there hasnt been one in a long time that I know of. Replacing a cat is illegal unless the cat has failed and it must be a 50 state legal cat which is never one in aftermarket headers. same goes for say a high flow cat in a front pipe - technically not legal in CA

There are no CARB-legal headers for the twins.

humfrz 03-10-2016 12:16 AM

DANG, old humfrz had a "senior moment" on that header in California thing .....:bonk:

Thanks @finch1750 and @aegisdrgn for enlightening me ....... :thanks:
