I miss driving my car
So much that i needed to make a thread about it.
please weather stop pmsing so i can take my cover off and work on my car in my rock driveway so i can drive it again. My e39 does not bring as much excitement as my brz. |
I'm with you! Waiting for the snow to stop and temps to climb so I can get my FR-S out of hibernation.
|
haha, same here guys. I've been going to the garage daily and just looking at it and hoping spring comes soon!
|
why not drive it in the winter :iono: it's a blast in the snow!
|
what is snow?
probably going to ride the motorcycle this weekend too. :) |

I know you guys want to keep them perfect but some simple winter maintenance migrates most of the problems that could come up. Mine takes more of a beating on the highway in the summer than it ever has in the winter. |

Also my winter storage was strongly encouraged because I was like okay i guess im going to store it for winter let me fill the tank and add some stabilizer..so i do that then im like let me rip it one more time...1st....slam second BOOM. axle broke. pushed it home and parked since.

I miss driving my car too. I will never drive in through a NY winter. They salt the roads until there is more salt than snow. And it isn't weird to have over a foot of snow on the roads. I have driven a FC3S and a convertible 240sx in the winter and it really took a toll on them. Besides it is nice having winter to do things to your car with no time restraint.

I needed to use my AC last week, hot February...

I can't wait for winter to be done with either. I really want to get back to some regular driving. Done driving it in the snow two winters in this salty hell have turned my front bumper into a chipped mess and rusted my end links. No amount of regular washing can defeat the salt lovers here. Its a fun winter car sure, but I sure don't want it to look like crap years from now. They salt way to much here in Ohio. I could get way with driving it in CO, not here though. My other car can eat that pain, its more so made for it anyways.

I love driving mine in the snow but winters in the maritimes are so hard on cars. They salt the roads more then anywhere else and the temps are consistently changing from cold to warm so that salt water melts into every nook and cranny.
I miss my car so much I have spent at least 15+ hours in the garage, waxing and detailing over and over. |

I waxed the shit out of it before covering it. so hopefully that helps.. i did get a nip slip last time the cover blew up and the car still looks clean. |

I'm glad I'm not alone....my '97 Ram is doing the trick in the snow but I obsess about getting back into that car everyday.. Hopefully only a few more weeks.. What's worse is I have Pirelli's and XXR 530's waiting in the wings!

I use my Honda Accord for the winter. Why abuse the car i love in the winter? I want to keep my twin MINT and also it's a great feeling to get into a car you love after not driving it all winter and taking it out for that first spin and falling love all over again!
