Going to dealer RIGHT NOW to get my first FRS! TME!!!
The time has finally come!
:bonk::happyanim::wub::thumbup::eyebulge::happyani m: After years of waiting, the opportunity has presented itself. Should i wait for the 2017? Maybe. But i have seen the spy shots and im not impressed. Might be worth it for whopping 10 hp increase but not really. Going to pick up a 2016 asphault manual. Woohoo! Pics when i get her home! I swear if its got lic plate holes in the bumper its a deal breaker lol |

Get an OFT, headers (preferably OFH, gruppe or tomei) , drop in filter and e85 fuel and tune and boom, you've got much much more than that measly 10 hp bump (that 10 hp is speculative for 2017 still btw) |

Awesome! I just got mine a week ago, I couldn't wait any longer either.
Congrats! |
The deed is done! Victory is mine! Booya! Etc!
Yeah i dont plan on a ton of power mods. Priority is suspension and wheels first. And guess what? No bumper holes!!! Kudos to toyota of kearny mesa. So now i need to catch up on 4 years worth of threads here about diy improvements, engine break in techniques, etc... oh! And update my profile! Wooohoooo!!!!! |

I will keep this thread in mind for when you post "My bowling ball rolled around in my trunk and now it won't unlock. What could be wrong?" |
[QUOTE=mdm;2547449]This one is actually to prevent valet parking attendants from opening the trunk and finding the bodies, or the diamonds you stole during your heist. [/ QUOTE]
Very important! ^^^ |
Right, it's a surprisingly big trunk for the size and shape of the car.

haha ironically, the trunk is the first thing i had a problem understanding. to be exact, HOW TO CLOSE IT?! lol shut it and it popped right back up i was like uhhhh... ended up clicking unlock and trunk again on key. then it closed. weird. i guess i really should RTFM!
i have to work but so far here is a pic at the dealer last night https://scontent-dfw1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...4d&oe=575FF002 |
Oh man congratulations! It's so great seeing someone excited as you are. You're going to love your FR-S so much! Have fun with it & drive safe!!

But to put some button in your trunk where things might bump it is a pretty stupid idea |

lol okay so i went and did some youtube research. Why did they not try their keys instead of being trunk locked for a week

Congrats on the new car! I hope you enjoy the 2016. It has been a blast for me so far.
I am actually a valet driver btw. Will just give you a heads up I wouldnt valet this car. The feel and ground clearance is similar to porsches and they are likely to back it into a curb (at a location I work at we have to back up diagonally, and the back up cam isnt the best for this). The majority of cars are not low and usually glide above the curb. On top of that, every driver is going to want to take your car for a ride. I know I did whenever an 86 or brz came in (before I actually got one). As for the valet key and having stuff stolen, they dont usually hire thieves for the job, and without a remote key its only going to take extra long for the attendant to find the car (likely checking every scion/toyota in the lot) and thus extra time before the car gets to you. Toyota should have put a remote on the valet key if they are going to give one. Just my 2 cents. |

Hahaha! I've never used my key to open up the trunk....the remote or button in the car is what I use. ;) |

First time was the day I got the car. Before purchase, my dad wanted to see how much space was back there. Trunk button was set to lock (I didn't notice this until I got home) so sales dude used the key. 2nd time was when I got home that day and playing around with the trunk button. Had to use the key again... then never played around with the trunk button again! :D |
My locks on my ae86 never worked on the hatch lol or was it the other way... yeah i could only get in with the key. Release cables snapped on those all the time.
As for valet thanks dude but i never valet lol im lazy but i prefer to park my own car. About to score a used perrin intake from a local member! Woop! |

You apparently have never come across my running joke of bodies in the back! Yes it will hold two and a bag of lime and a shovel. |
Just hit 1000 miles yesterday. Let the rips to redline begin!!! Intake is holding up fine, sounds awesome. Also installed a "replica" grimmspeed license plate bracket on the front. So far, so good. Loving this car!!! Might get tint today...
