Good thing we didn't get autos.. I mean I don't want to be able to take the key out. Oh, what about the fine gentlemen who didn't buy base models? The ones with the keyless. Theirs keys have never been in the ignition. |
Gotta go spend my Saturday at the dealership now. Wanted to sleep in too. :mad0260:
|
because drivers can take the keys out of the ignition without the car being in park.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL For all of the 50s and 60s and part of the early 70s the ability to take the keys out of the ignition while the car was running was a premium feature!!!!!! You paid more for the car to have the ability to do exactly that and it didn't matter what gear it was in. |
You see that A RECALL! - This car has horrible reliability. /s

I do want to take an FJ cruiser out for a spin. They had a couple on the lot when I went in for an oil change. |

Yup and they even give me the badges to prove it http://www.dci-artform.com/images/so...ownership_hero |
Wait so I can take my key out and leave the car running? Or is it I can shut my car off and take the key out while in D? I swear I did that once by accident.

Push start master race.... oh wait.
That being said..........Why don't ppl just pull their handbrake too? I always wonder why i see so many ppl with auto just never uses their handbrake. *like 100% of the asian girls I know* knock on wood |

Think im going to wait until I get the letter in the mail. The service people might become confused if I try to explain to them whats going on. Can't find an official TSB, just an announcement on the Toyota site - probably because it was just released. Plus, its just the plug in module, nothing wrong with the transmission its self. |

I have attached the official TSB and info I took off techstream, turns out I already fixed mine because I noticed it was unplugged, let's just say I have a good toyota friend who let me use his techstream login. |

Literally I put the Service campaign document so you could do it yourself  it's just a little white plug near the dead pedal that's unplugged and should be plugged in. |

Right after I posted my last comment, I said screw it and went to check. Also tried to pull my key out as they described it in the TSB. Didn't come out. http://i.imgur.com/ASVxikc.jpg |

I am surprised at the low number affected actually. Only 26,000? They must have seprate recalls for around the world since this would not have impacted just the US models I am sure.
|
Eh. I park mine in N and yank the ebrake. Not gonna take it in
