OpenFlash Header + Procede for Phantom ESCs
2 Attachment(s)
Remaining items in excellent shape:
Procede Controller $400 *Original Post* I have a complete Phantom ESC V1.5 along with a Procede Controller and OFT and OFH for a comprehensive setup. It ran flawlessly for me in the few weeks I've owned and the power bug has taken hold of me, so the kit must go... It's an earlier kit with the V1.5 dump pack upgrade. For those familiar with the kits, this originally didn't come with a relay that disabled the ESC when ignition power was terminated. The previous owner installed a relay to enable this feature, but because of the size of the relay, the wiring will no longer fit through the grommet hole and was cut by the original owner. I chose to use Posi-Lock connectors, which are re-usable wire connectors to reconnect the wires. If you've ever installed a car stereo or have basic wiring knowledge, it's a breeze. There's a wealth of knowledge in the FI thread and plenty of install videos. I'll also label everything to make the install as painless as possible. I'm located in Southern California, so I can assist with the install as well. Current wait time is ~1 year, so here's a chance to bypass the wait. You do realize you're selling the ESC for MORE than it is retail, right?

The closest you can get to FI without spending insane amounts. Most of you don't track the car, this is a fantastic setup |

Updated.

Still available?
Willing to ship internationally? Only the Phantom ESC and procede. OFH and OFT I already have. |
I'd be willing to, but the batteries are quite heavy, so it may be fairly costly.
|
If only you were closer, I would be happy to pick up...
Also, if by a very small chance you still have this when May arrives (as I plan on taking a vacation down there), I'll swing by and take it off your hands. :) Anyways, good luck with sale! Hopefully, someone goes through with buying it. |
3,000 lurkers and no buyers? What's wrong with you people?

Bump to support your thread.
I would buy it, but I probably won't have the money until I'm through the waiting list anyway :bellyroll: |
Darnit.. I would buy this in a heartbeat, but just need a lot more persuasion. Spent 6k on the car already and trying to take 6 months off to replenish savings and finish paying off the car.
OP, can you give us your impression of the ESC? Is it really that noticable over stock? Or just a 'hey that's nice, i can feel it' sort of benefit? Maybe you can convince me to pull the trigger :) |
I really liked my first one(ESC). But i got rid of my car. Now (post baby) I am back in a BRZ. So i hate to say it, but as long as Lord09 accepts my offer and payment I believe I will be back in the ESC family. It should go well with my ACE header/FP.
But in case Lord09 says no, then i guess this is just another bump for the thread. |

Maybe I can. I am very satisfied with this purchase. It's the best I've made for my car. With that being said... First, you should definitely make the most fiscally responsible decision. I'm sure you will. Now, with that being said... The way the Phantom kit puts down the torque is exactly what this car needs. You have to spend a lot more money to get the kind of dramatic change in torque output characteristics that the Phantom ESC offers. I posted this in another thread, but I'll repost here. This is the Phantom ESC vs many other setups, same dyno, same day (including SBD Turbos, JC Turbo, and many NA setups with header/exhaust/tune). Strong max WHP/TQ improvements, but what's really important is "area under the curve". What's going on under the output maximums? Is the power a momentary peak or a sustained plateau? I'd say, under 100 MPH low RPM torque is king. Over 100 is another story, but we shouldn't be doing that on the street anyhow. - Baseline a completely stock 86 dynos roughly 135-140 lb.ft TQ at 4800 RPM with that nasty torque dip.Moral of the story is the Phantom kit annihilates the torque dip and puts out more torque down low and in the mid range with only 4-5psi than just about any other 7psi F.I. option. My dyno from the day, 3 passes, consistent as hell. http://i.imgur.com/6w2M4p9.jpg The numbers http://i.imgur.com/ZYP1p4V.png Details of all car setups, tons of dyno sheets, and pictures are in this thread. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...t=93180&page=5 |
