Is it just me or is whiteout a magnet for bird poop
 

Every day, very drive. I can't escape bird poop. I have wiped down my car on a daily basis. Is it the color making me notice it more?

It's not because it's white that it's a magnet...it's because you wipe it down on a daily basis.

Had you left the original deposit on the car instead of wiping it off...the birds would have lost interest as their only intent is to use you as entertainment watching you clean up after them.

Might be your area ... or just the fact that the birds are jealous too haha

LOL. I've owned the car a week and a half and I've been hit three times. My 240 and my last vehicle almost never got pooped on...

:eyebulge: OMFG I thought I was the only one! My wife's Whitewater Pearl Impreza gets bombed constantly!!! Not only that but birds always fly in front of the car. Some sort of death wish. This has occurred more on this car than ANY other car we've ever owned. This is our first white pearl vehicle too.

Quick question. Is there a good kind of wipe to keep in the car for this?

Also, avoid parking under trees.

That's funny. Someone at work was just telling me that there was a study that showed that red cars are more prone to getting pooped on than any other color. Luckily my FR-S is inside the garage. But the red car I drive for work gets parked outside. That one seems to live up to that statistic.

Whatever you do, don't wipe it. Take it to a wand wash or keep dabbing it with a soaking wet paper towel. Get it really wet and it will come off easier, but it can take a few minutes if it's completely dried.

Strange correlation but I'm used to pooping in something that's white, why should birds be any different?

I second the avoiding trees. I found that birds often poop when taking off (weight reduction?), so nearby perches and trees can be problematic.

I made the mistake of parking under a huge tree during a rainstorm. My SWP BRZ was covered with a different shade of white. :(

Be careful if you wipe...you don't want to cause scratches. If the bird sh!t is dry, set one of these wipes on it for a few minutes to soften it up. Then wipe carefully.

i get a lot of bird crap on my black raven as well.

every morning before i go i inspect the car and make sure i clean any poop before the hot sun bakes and stains paint

This is why a good wax and sealant will protect your paint and clearcoat from this crap(pun intended!). If done right, it should prevent any of it penetrating the clearcoat.

I think birds have something against white vehicles. My Taco has seen it's fair share of bird poop but it couldn't be worse than this dude. :bellyroll::bellyroll:

I believe it. I've owned quite a few cars over the years and the red one absolutely had more poop on it than any other color.
