Good Performance shops to get a engine rebuilt

Hey Guys, My name is olive I have a15BlueSeries and unfortunately it has a blown engine and was wondering if anyone knew of any good performance shops that I can trust to rebuild my motor.

Aren't you the same gal whose motor blew because the ex was driving it, and advertised her IG in the process?

Since you're in the SoCal area, give Evasive Motorsports a call and see if they can rebuild your motor.

In that case go get The Pidgeons to take care of your engine build. They seem to know a lot of shit about our cars.

Alright then. Welcome back to the fourms. I also would give Evasive Motorsports a call, I hear nothing but good things about them. Also if you want full blown might be able to set you up with something, but I have no idea if they are local or not to you haha

reckless_brz 01-18-2016 05:29 PM

im definetly gonna give them a call im located in Carlsbad CA im not so sure either but long story short i need a new short block and a entire new transmission. Thanks for helping.

1000hp block so no more issues. And you can get a custom compression ratio :D Thats the block I would go for.

Edit: you will have to ship it

3k for a built block that can handle that much boost is a pretty good deal. Good to know that built short blocks for our cars are relatively inexpensive (compared to other cars) Good thing to know when I blow up the stocker on FI lol

Yeah but then your gona need their heads and a tranny (just make sure your not getting head from a tranny  I am so funny) and axles then eventually a diff, oh and dont forget the drive shaft. and on top of all that you will have huge heat management issues.

But that power

Haha I would run only 300whp until POP and then push maybe 450

I think a goal for me is to get as much hp as the chasis can handle without loosing complete control and is always spinning tires. I dont want to have to cut the car to make it fit bigger tires.

reckless_brz 01-18-2016 05:49 PM

i think i'll just order a block and then have the dealership put in in and just replace the tranny im sure that is going to be a cheaper alternative then what the dealership is quoting me at the moment.

Is your tranny blown? Or just your engine?

I dont see any need to replace the tranny if only the engine is the one that blew.

Theres and old saying "Don't fix it if it aint broke."

Yeah I will not put a wide body on mine. Unless someone pays me to do it. Thats not a bad goal. A car with 750hp that cant put it down is about as useless as a gay man with lock jaw on valentines day (lol this expression isnt nearly as funny as the 3 legged dog but w/e)

Having all that power is useless and I totally understand where you're coming from. Once you get to 750 or 1000 hp its just about being a numbers and dyno queen. I'd rather have a little less power and have the car stick well when exiting a corner than loosing all grip

Theres a video somewhere of a completely track spec FRS thats pushing 350hp turbocharged and you see it damn near slide just a bit around every corner.

LOL he could also use a driver mod as they had a pro in the FRS VS him, he should have been able to pass the FRS

Yeah he was right on the FRS's ass the whole time. And he even stated that the Mclaren has more power and is faster in the straights.

Yeah the FRS was balls to the wall and he was like I am just going for a joy ride and making the FRS look so much faster then it really is. How is it a 30k sports car with a turbo is better then a 150k super car :iono:

How do you and I always end up getting so off topic??

Whats the quote?? Your cheapest option is to buy a used engine from a wreak BRZ (and tranny if you need it) Then pay a local mom and pa shop to install it.

does our car even go up to 140? lol. I don't understand why you would be moving your shifter anywhere near 2nd gear at that speed either lol

btw, judging from your name and your speeds, I suggest you calm it down before you end up in a ditch. consider yourself lucky that all you got was a blown engine this time around.

How does that happen?

Putting the shifter into 2nd gear at 140 is not a mistake you can realistcally make. You have to, literally, FORCE the shifter into 2nd and most likely your transmission would have already failed by the time you let your clutch out.
