Snapped these at the dealer today.

Lonewolf 06-27-2012 02:23 PM

Finally, a dealer with some decent taste in wheels. You should see the crap they tack onto the cars here in the States....:barf:

Jordan6908 06-27-2012 02:23 PM

Those look good!!!!!

Motopythons 06-27-2012 02:59 PM

Love the look of these on the 86. Might not work with BRZ's look though

But for the money, I wouldn't mind shelling out just a bit more for the Alleggerita for the massive weight savings over this wheel.

DarrenDriven 06-27-2012 03:26 PM

ultra, can you get the wheel specs? (width & offset)

Added to the Wheel Directory:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7535

ultra 06-27-2012 03:33 PM

18x8 +48 (rim moulding in the last pic says 8Jx18M2; +48 offset is apparently the corresponding offset according to the tirerack site).

DarrenDriven 06-27-2012 03:36 PM

Good spot! I updated the info on the Directory list. Thanks.

#87 06-27-2012 03:38 PM

Nice find. I am looking at these wheels in 17", pretty sure I'm gonna get them now.

Asterisked Accolade 06-27-2012 03:43 PM

Those look very very nice. Not overdone or 'too much.'

cyde01 06-27-2012 03:43 PM

wheels look great. toyota emblems on center caps is awesome. non-2tone trd kit looks really weird though.

sdiver68 06-27-2012 04:30 PM

This has to be lowered as well

Jordo! 06-27-2012 05:15 PM

Looks good, but needs spacers. Very tucked in.

mechaghost 06-27-2012 05:18 PM

May look better without the toyota center caps, but then again they are advertising their product.

Also, I dont likey the racing stripes on teh hood but thats OT :)

Cudgel 06-27-2012 05:43 PM

Very nice! I don't like that black hood stripes and I'm not sure if I like the front TRD bumper "mouth" & fog light area painted white to match the rest of the car or keep it black that Toyota had it originally.

uspspro 06-27-2012 06:02 PM

They can't even properly center the Toyota emblem on the cap, WTF?

russv 06-27-2012 06:06 PM

I saw those "canards" in another photo. Are they exclusive to the middle eastern market? Do they serve a purpose? Those wheels look awesome with the white paint.

ultra 06-28-2012 10:23 AM

No idea where the 'canards. Come from. Seen versions of this kit (mishmash of the TRD and Modellista rear diffuser/exhaust +wing in some cases) on press cars in the Middle East and South Africa with those stripes.

I think it's more of a tactic to grab the attention of the wider 'bling loving' market out there although the dealer says that they will be selling TRD parts at some point.

shayward 06-28-2012 02:12 PM

Al futtaim on the Sheikh Zayed road said to me august some time for the TRD stuff. Which falls in line with delivery timelines of cars ordered around now-ish :-) i've not seen the white one that up by festival city ultra?

der_rainman 06-29-2012 05:43 AM

Though not as "stancey" as some will like, i do like the use of 225 section width over, say, a 245. You get a bit more grip while still maintaining the tossability of the narrower tire. Problem with the big meats is they generate too much grip! For an autocross or track, that's probably a good thing for ultimate track times. But for this car's HP and torque levels, the lower grip provides a delicate balance and throttle adjustability that you will lose when upping your traction levels.

Tommi 07-03-2012 08:43 PM

So nice! even the trd kit painted

dabocx 07-03-2012 08:59 PM

Wish these came in a slightly wider setup. 17X8.5 or 17X9.0 would be perfect.

Circuit Motorsports 07-04-2012 11:44 AM

Looks good! I always wish they would have made a wider 5X100 Ultra or SuperLeggra. somewhere around 17X9

JDMSushi 07-05-2012 07:28 AM

Ommm nom nom nom nom

wow - dude, any chance of specs on those?? where did you find these pics? cheers! - saved to my wheel images folder

#87 07-05-2012 10:28 AM

That pic just sold me 100% getting these wheels for next summer

Is that the silver or graphite color?

JDMSushi 07-05-2012 10:42 AM

Believe they are the HLT's in 18x8 +35 but I could be off.

ImAwesome 07-05-2012 12:11 PM

I want that rear on the black car!!!!

looks like a F430

ultra 07-05-2012 02:11 PM

I like how the spec on the black car looks - the one I posted was way tucked by comparison. :)

Silver or graphite color? internet pics always misleading with color, don't want to order the wrong one ^_^

ultra 07-05-2012 04:45 PM

I can only fnd Ultraleggera HLTs listed in 19".

Also can't find Ultraleggeras listed anywhere with a +35 offset in 5x100.

Maybe the Nitron folks are using spacers? Would seem a bit of an odd thing for them to do though since they're all about function.

That sucks for us now, I know they definitely had Ultraleggera's in 5x100 +35 and +48 in past.

Or it could be a custom order?

Edit: just checked Google and there are loads of used sets floating around in above offset/pattern. Sweet!

mtapscott 07-06-2012 04:15 AM

Hi, (this is my introduction) Mark from Nitron, here.

I noticed our photos from our FB page had been reposted here ( http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nitron...31653666845792 ).

I am afraid that I have to be very tight lipped about that particular car at this time. I hope to be able to let you know more about it shortly. Needless to say, its going to be quite an important build... More info on our news page soon.

Now - this thread is about the wheels. I can confirm that they look REALLY good on the car. they are also incredibly light (for what they are). Obviously the set here are shod with slicks. The finish on the wheels is fantastic; I would certainly have a set on my car (if I had one!). They show off the suspension and brakes nicely, too.

Thanks!

86design 07-06-2012 06:00 AM

what kit is that on that black car?

Turbowned 07-06-2012 10:47 AM

Nice wheel choice, but the offset is whack. I'm not a hella-flush fanboy or anything but they need to be more flush.

DaygoISn86 07-06-2012 11:10 AM

I have the same rims in black on my MSM IS300.

I have something to add to that... I have only seen my rims on 4 cars now in 4 countries.

MarkMash 07-06-2012 12:28 PM

I may buy a set after seeing this -would also love to know the specs - I think I alreayd asked though, will patiently wait :)

dori. 07-06-2012 03:44 PM

yeah the +35 looks way, way WAY better than what's in the OP, especially in the rear
