Shifter knob details
Trying to figure out what the shifter knob information is for AT and MT. I am talking to lathewerks for making a custom shifter knob. Any idea on how I can get the correct threading size (I'm not sure if this is the right term)?
According to Chris: "For all Subarus, the manual are M12x1.25 and auto are M10x1.25, but the BRZ auto may be different because of the Toyota influence" |
Most Toyotas for manual are M12x1.25 also.

I bet they know at Perrin Performance. They already show a shift knob for sale.

Chirs said Perrin has the manual shift knob info. Anyone know what the AT shift knob info is?

MT = 12 x 1.25mm
FYI, Chris has a BRZ page set up on his site now. http://lathewerks.com/shop/index.php?cPath=1_65 He's building me a Nismo replica: http://www.khilgers.com/forumpics/nismo_knob.jpg |
That Nismo knob looks like delrin... I would love a custom shift knob of my avatar. I use this everywhere... Kinda my personal emblem... Started as a joke 7 years ago, but I'm recognized by it.

I have a buddy who is USMC and he has a Jeep with a de-MIL'd fragmentation grenade for a shift knob. I think that's funny as hell!

Not trying to take away from WC Lathe Werks, as I love their custom engraving options! Here are a few pics to give you an idea what they look like. We have two colors and two sizes also.

This creates a really cool texture that lasts. Personally, i like the silver small size in the car. We haven't gotten an Auto yet to know for sure what thread they are. Hoping its like the Subaru Auto with a 10x1.25 threads. |

Unscrew your knob and snap a picture for me. Then tell me the measurement of the outside if you can. I can figure it out with the picture though. Or we can send you both our adapters we make (12mm and 10mm) and see which one works. Send me an email:
