Thanks, so does yours! :) I wish the engraving was just a bit darker.. but other than that, craftsmanship & finish is top-notch! I love the hex screw inside of the shift knob to make it so easy to adjust height & correct the orientation of the shift pattern.

Speaking of the shift pattern, the default one they had was just a bit too 'unsporty' for me, so I made my own.. it's an illustrator file (vector), anyone who wants to use it is welcome to.. just PM me & I'll email it to you.

BTW if this forum has a place to put free/uncopyrighted files like this for anyone to download & use, let me know and I'll upload it there.

I noticed it, that was a great idea!

I think there's no specific place to place images though I think it would be a great idea if there were.

To the guys with ball/spherical shift knobs:

Does your palm naturally face the ground when you place it on the shifter? I've always found this position uncomfortable for my wrist and it seems to lack finger grip.

To me, the ball/sphere is the only shape that feels naturally good to shift with. A smooth, heavy, metallic ball just makes it that much better! :) I opted for the pouch protector too.. just in case it gets a little hot to touch in the summer.

All the more reason we need a repository page for anything readily available for the twins :)

switchlanez 04-05-2013 02:39 AM

Not the best looking shift knob but that's not why I bought it. The unconventional concave top and deceivingly thick circumference feel unconventionally great in the hand.

turns out flossy has that one on file so i'm good to go :)

that would be awesome... something for shift knob engraving images, upholstery embroidery (clazzio, katzkins, etc), and whatever else people may need.

Flossy redhead heavyweight. I love it. Feels like a completely new gearbox. I also have the Blox reverse lockout adapter in the mail to cover up the white plastic underneath.

Compared to stock:

It's about the same weight as stock, and feels like very fine sandpaper.

Any chance we can get a picture of this worn, gloss look?

Is that the heavyweight or the regular shorty? How much does it weigh?

I'm really looking into the flossy knobs but i feel like if the knob is too heavy then shifting into gears might not give enough feel...

I bought them each for around $70 to 90. Can't really remember. They are real titanium. Here's some pics I took. Last one is the burnt by WC Lathe and inserted brass for extra weight.

I also got it with a brass insert. Makes it a tad bit heavier.
