I'd buy S2000 in a heartbeat if Honda still made one today.
|

I would buy s2000, or love to inherited one. What is not to love about it ? Convertible, rwd, 240 hp, Honda quality, higher end feeling interior, only 1-200 lps heavier.
You can already get so many after market for it if you would, unlike the frs or brz. Eventually more s2k will disappear on the street, and more frs- brz on the street |
im really thinking about getting a used ap1 but low mileage like under 30k i had a ap2 but honestly i never liked the front end besides the new headlights and i like the ap1 rear actually bc i wanna run a single exhaust, got rid of the ap2 and picked up a na2 fixed headlight nsx, im not bored with it, but i want a nice daily car now so its brz or s2000 or just wait a year and get another nsx.
im wanting to see what lip kits will come out, i know the s2000 will have thief issues esp in houston where i live , s2000 just a fun car imo i have yet to drive a brz , i dont really like the frs front bumper brz is way cleaner imo. if i find a really nice s2000 low mileage i would get that if not ill look into brz, |
Keep the S2000.

S2000 for Sure.
Wait until the little things in the BRZ gets fixed, might as well avoid the first gen problems that we're all having. Then get a BRZ - beautiful garage, S2K and BRZ mm mmm mm |

The weight difference between these cars has been greatly exaggerated. Early S2000's and CRs are in the 2750-2800 lb. range, and the heaviest tested curb weight I've seen for '04-'09 is ~2850 lb. Tested weights for the twins are ~2760 lb. Call it 0 - 100 lb. heavier, not 100-200 lb. |
are u crazy bro! take the free car!!! the fr-s is only going to get better with updates and trd editions!!! if i had the option I would've taken the s2k and FINALLY learned to drive standard. you can always get a newer fr-s in a year or so.

First off I really hate s2k's always have. But the situation youre in I would keep the S2k. First off it was your dads car, and he took great care of it. I would say do the same and keep it pass it down to your kid.
As for the brz, save up and get it later on. Just keep the s2k stock and have somthing nice in the family. |
questions to ask yourself:
1. do you have limited budget? get S2000, of course used. 2. do you want something with proven reliability? get S2000. 3. do you want open-air feeling? get S2000. 4. do you like track days? get toyoBaru 5. do you like new cars? get toyoBaru 6. do you want backseats? get toyoBaru |

The back seats are barely useable... |

I can count 10 organizations off the top of my head around here that host track days and only 2 of them allow convertibles with the factory rollover protection, the other 8 require a proper roll-bar. As a former owner of an S2000 and instructed students who had them (The 2 organizations I instruct with allow them), the S2000 is an amazing track car, absolutely superb. |
