My stock tires are still like new, but I'm thinking what my tire setup should be in the future. I was thinking Advan Neova AD08R but i think those are too hardcore for street.

I've owned Azenis RT615, FK452's and SDrives on the Subaru.

Going from Falken RT615's, the FK452's felt like crap lol. The Sdrives felt better than FK452's though. Wondering how these Bridgestones compare.

I'm planning on staying 215's though cause I want to keep the nimble drive feel.

I hear these tires fill in the TQ dip.

Honestly man, I have never driven on those tires so I couldn't tell you.

The RE760's have a TW of 340, while the S Drives are 300 and fall under the UHP Summer category. Here is a comparison between a few UHP tires.
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...y.jsp?ttid=192

The RT615 have a 200TW and AD08R's are 180 and fall under the Extreme Perf. Summer and will probably wear quickly.

It all depends on what you want out of the tire. FWIW I haven't noticed any change in steering response with the wider tires.

I picked up a laser temp gun (sorry don't know what its actually called) for relatively cheap the other day becuase well, it was cheap. Any way, I decided to see if having ceramic coated headers made any difference.

I compared my car vs a friends car who has the same Borla UEL header except his wasn't coated (also has a sprintex sc)
What I found out was, the ceramic coated headers were about 25c hotter than uncoated. However, the cam position sensors, oil dipstick, rad fan wiring was about 10-15c cooler than the uncoated header. There is also a noticeable difference when you open the hood.

Uncoated

Coated

Both cars were run for the same amount of time (approx 5 minutes) and with the hoods closed.

Thanks for that temp comparison Dan. Didn't realize you also tested against another car. Far less worried about my non coated header now.

No worries man. I'm sure the differences would be greater after some spirited driving or some time in the track.

Thanks man, I appreciate the compliment :)

Awesome build thread. Love this simple, functional, clean theme you got going on.

Was eyeing the Whiteline camber adjustment too.

Did you notice accelerated front tire wear at -1 deg camber all the time vs the nearly 0 deg camber from stock?

I'm going for an OEM+ look and appreciate the compliments. I would buy SPC camber bolts, they are about 10 bucks cheaper than Whitline. Also, the Whiteline ones are made by SPC (found out when I opened the package lol).

No negative side effects from the added negative camber either :)
