I didn't even noticed that. It's not uncommon for test mules to be pitted against the current model.

Yes these pictures are a year old, but they show the high level comparison between 86/BRZ and other models including very expensive cars like the Alpine A110. A similar testing was done in the first generation model comparing 86/BRZ with a Cayman R.

yup, posted on 11/28/19. with all we know now i think we can conclude that this was most definitely the test mule for the next gen. all this being old news now; time for a thread lock?
