Is there a way to tell the Tactrix to start a new log file after X entries or at a specified file size?

A few noob questions:
I have a 2017 (MY2018) USDM MT BRZ. I got a Tactrix OpenPort 2.0, and as a first step I would like to flash the OFT Stage 1 map (car is stock). I've been reading for a couple weeks now, but the knowledge is very fragmented, so I still have some doubts: - there are newer stock ROMs available, for MY 2018, 19, 20... are they an update over the 2017 ROM? - stock ROM is ZA1JK00C. OFT tune seems to have "hacked CalID", meaning that the .bin file mentions ZA1JK00C twice, but also once has the ZA1JK00G, on which it is based on. Is it safe to flash that ROM to my car without any modifications? - the first post says that ZA1JK00G is the "old logic" ROM - are there features lost because of that (compared to edited ZA1JK00C)? |

For a 2018 manual just use K00G tunes and definitions that's the base rom no hacks |

What about for the ID ZA1JN00W? I used the ZA1JK01I definitions and its not correct. The rom is from a Aussie GT86 2020 AT. So ZA1JK01I rom and definitions match but not when I use a N00W rom with K01I Defnitions. Are you saying I should just flash the ZA1JK01I Rom and tune from there? Thanks in advance :D |

Original ROMs for ZA1JS20G and ZA1JU01A00G
2 Attachment(s)
Hi, in my ECU research I've collected a bunch of stock ROMs, and I have two that aren't on the forum yet, S20G and U01A. Both are manual shift, red intake, and non-US.
ZA1JS20G says it's "AL7 H4NA - EU - 6MT - 2018" at 0x8000, "BSW_12CYH4N_DI_MC5 Ver 1.00r1" at 0x8100, ecuid 0xBF61707007 at 0x12947b. ZA1JU01A00G says it's "AK8 H4 - DOM - MT - H - 2018" at 0x8000, "BSW_12CYH4N_DI_MC5 Ver 1.00r1" at 0x8100, ecuid 0xC901703107 at 0x125924. These are both interesting to me because they have EU/JP MC5-series logic, rather than the US MC4-series logic in the US roms. I've been digging into VVT and there's considerable differences in how intake/exhaust timing are calculated, along with total rewrites of the base/normal/safe tables.

As a footnote, I applied U01A to my 2019 US and it’s really nice so far :)
