Since you are on D00C (which is a 2014 6MT on the OFT site) just take the ZA1JA01G tune and definitions from there and open it in Romraider.

Make sure to back up your tune and read the first page to figure out what to do if the flash fails for some reason.

Okay. So use the za1ja01g 13brz tune from oft

I think the flash went through, I used the tacktrix definitions for the oft ROM though to read it , I didn't edit it in ECU flash at all though just used it to load the ROM then flashed the ECU. The car runs and seems to drive fine but when I go to read the ECU it says requesting seed then interface closeing then error,

Odd never had that issue before. Try disconnecting/reconnecting tactrix and reopen Ecuflash?

Yeah I did that. Didn't work. It's so weird it happened right after I flashed my car

Did I flash it correctly? Was it ok using the tacktrix def for the oft ROM just to flash it?

You dont need the def for flashing - it is only used for editing the tune.

I'm guessing here but are your Ecuflash settings correct? One would think that it wouldn't allow you to flash the tune without the proper settings but good to make sure.

It wouldn't let me load the tune without selecting the definition.

I think my ECU flash settings are correct

Edit. I set their cycled ignition kept trying over and over and over and over and over again then eventually it went into the and I was able to reflash it again. But then when I went to read it again after reflashing it it's doing the same thing.
It seems like it's not wanting to go into programming mode after a reflashed it the first time.

In case anyone was wondering. I am 90% sure it was my OBD2 port being loose and having a bad connection.

Is it an actual Tactrix unit or one of the cheap ebay knockoffs? Did you buy it direct from the company?

I bought it from the tactrix site.

Just making sure. The 3rd party ones have issues. They do have good support last I tried it.

I'm going to try the bending the pins inward and rubber band method

Quite lucky it didn't fail on you in the midst of flashing - I use an OBD2 extender so that I don't wear out the tactrix pins. Far easier to buy a new extender than to fix intermittent issues.

This is why I always do a full read before I do a write, to make sure the connections are all good.
