How do I log if romraider logger doesn't work? Does ecu flash log?

EAGLE5 02-08-2022 01:30 PM

Put a small microsd card in the tactrix, load in a logging file with your own settings, and it will log onto the tactrix unit itself. There's a tutorial somewhere around here.

Go to the start of this thread then control-f logcfg.txt
RomRaider is if you want to watch on RomRaider. But the ECUFlash can to it all solo and save to a csv on the flash drive. Then you load the CSV into the computer to read it without needing romraider.

So what I just drop the the logcfg.txt file on the fat32 sd card, put it in the tacktrix, then press the defogger?

Man I can't believe how difficult it is to tune these cars.

I couldn't get it to log. The tacktrix stays yellow

Edit. I got an .out log

EAGLE5 02-08-2022 08:55 PM

Sounds like you're figuring it out. Tactrix ain't easy, but it is cheap.

Would anyone happen to know if it's possible to flash an v4..03 oft tune with the same ecu calib id?

Would I be able to edit the tune in romraider with the oft definitions provided from oft and flash the car with tacktrix

gotta crawl before walking. Don't even think about flashing until you can log.

Next step is to be able to pull a good copy of your stock rom. That is as far as I've gotten to this point. At least I am able to open it with romraider. I haven't yet had the balls to write back.

I know how to log. Just can't seem to get rom raider to work with 64-bit Java. I used to flash and log my WRX on my old computer but it is way easier than a 86.

Well, if it was your WRX then we wouldn't be having this pleasant exchange now, would we?

All tunes from OFT are using the same 'internal' calibration ID, despite the number of calibrations on the OFT website - this calibration ID only differs if you're on a manual/auto, and whether its a pre-facelift/facelift. Since you are on D00C (which is a 2014 6MT on the OFT site) just take the ZA1JA01G tune and definitions from there and open it in Romraider.

Make sure to back up your tune and read the first page to figure out what to do if the flash fails for some reason.
