27K limited, sounds good to me.

Your credit history, credit score, other variables may result in a high apr.

I figured with adults that was assumed/ known. I know we got a lot of younger people interested in this car, but those of us who are older all know this.

You are welcome. They are the best I have found so far and great to work with. My wife and I are currently using them for her car. Much better than BoA, Wells Fargo, Chase...etc. They even beat our local credit union.

Me too, but using Suby's normal jacked-up Ricer-math Canadian prices, it will be $35K.

mkxr 12-02-2011 10:53 PM

Those are some big brakes on the limited. Looks like a good buy, the FRS is looking quite possible at 21k for base. . Who knows, maybe they will give us a gift of a stripped down version for $19k?
2 years of waiting, now let's hope they have some nice test drive events :)

Neutral_Eyes 12-02-2011 11:06 PM

Cool. Wish I could ditch the nav unit to knock some off the price.

NoOneBetter 12-02-2011 11:12 PM

Price is looking goood.

exmayol 12-02-2011 11:28 PM

24K / 27K is a very reasonable price for what this car is. I sure hope there will be a way to get stuff as options without going into limited trim... I for one like alacantra seats yet do not want the wing.

Still, a caged car does NOT belong on the street so I hope for his sake that he doesn't drive a caged car around town.. one side impact and you will be dead. :(

+1. That's why when this car comes, the tC will go cage. Going to try my hardest not to turn the FR-S into a track/drift car.

Not making any promises though :D

Been here a couple days and with all the posting learning just a few things. Main one so far is I'm looking and test driving both the Subie and Toyo before making a decision.. Thanks for all the great post and back and forth guys. Makes for a fun and informative board..

+1 I want the seats and the fog lamps, but I don't want to stick that little spoiler on the back of it...

Yeah I want the seats and HIDs but don't want seat heaters, nav, spoiler, or auto climate control. I hate how they bunch everything together... 27k is too much I think. The premium BRZ seems like a good compromise I guess, hopefully they will at least make HIDs an option for a few hundred and maybe I can convince the dealer to buy back the nav... I really would like that push to start though...

I think me and you want the exact options on this car lol. They can keep the fogs too from what I've seen it looks better without them.

Maybe. But I want to see a night picture of the BRZ with the fogs before deciding.

Fogs are an Awesome "performance" add-on, if they're good fogs..lol..i get off on lighting performance so fogs are a YES (not for the look though).

As far as WANTING the OEM fogs, i can tell you, if they're the same reflector style fogs from the 08+ sti's and wrx's...they are a complete waste of time. They almost look like them, similar size too, but i haven't seen close-ups..and when it comes to the production version, they could be completely different.

hopefully it's a toyota fog lamp unit

Giccin 12-03-2011 01:25 AM

You guys make HIDs sound super expensive. Lol

Yes,Crappy re-based HID kits can be had for $40.

But for High quality phillips/osram bulbs ($100+ a pair), High quality Panasonic/ Denso/ Bosch Ballasts ($200) and Proper High Quality HID projectors ($150-$400).

The prices i listed are "aftermarket-OEM parts"....the dealer definitely will gouge when hid components fail. The sum of it's parts..Hid isn't Cheap...Super expensive?..not nowadays..BUT, someone who thinks spending $50 for a bad hid kit in a bad headlight is a good idea, will probably think $500+ is expensive

Brody8877 12-03-2011 02:10 AM

Fog lights are useless in my opinion. I rather have brake ducts.

xantonin 12-03-2011 02:18 AM

Why are people comparing the WRX to this car?

Sure, pricing may be the same, but the WRX is all wheel drive, and it's based on a family model sedan, which means it's more roomy and appealing to an entirely different audience.

Have we been?...i know *I* mentioned a wrx, but that was just to compare US to Canadian prices and get an ballpark canadian figure for the BRZ, and possibly logically figure out what are options and what's standard for canada. Did someone else say something?

My 07 Subie had foglights, I can barely tell if they're on or not. I dont find it useful that just me.

Agreed, but I wouldn't mind having the holes from the foglights, just remove the lights (which will be worthless anyways), connect the duct to that and route it..

My 06 Sube had the same projector fogs as yours...they were actually quite good compared to the 08+ ones..sad i know.

27000$ is about £17000 so It seems to be to to good to be true for the uk market
I had budgeted for 30k as STi is 33k so I would imagine with the uk mark up it might only be 23-25 k which is great
Being on the options list although the limited seems to be well equipped as it stands

Just need the big wing and gold alloys

Can't wait to see an sti version wing..should look sick...The TRD wing looks awesome already. Sort of a tribute to big brother Supra

gt-jerome 12-03-2011 05:31 AM

what about european price??? (i guess we cannot convert 24.000$ to 17.000 €....)

MrVito 12-03-2011 11:54 AM

Remember, the 24k and 27k prices are just estimates from them, not quotes from SoA.

Hey, I'd be happy we could convert 24.000 $ to 24.000 €. Because the rumors for EU pricing a at 30.000 €. That is still not little.

Prices sound good.

Now I just have to see if they will let us use the Subaru VIP program with the BRZ at launch or will we have to wait 6 months -1 year berfore we can get the discount.

Exactly. It might still be worth it for me to wait. See if any rumors of BRZ STI are true and see what the next gen WRX/STI is. Plus save up some more money for the car.

Zaku 12-03-2011 01:56 PM

Could someone tell me about this Subaru VIP program and what it does? I've never owned a Subaru, but the car I drive now for work is a Subaru.

Basically get it for dealer invoice or dealer invoice -2%. SOA then reimburses the dealer the difference.

But most likely you won't be able to use it anyways for awhile if this cars demand is like the STi's was (small i because of the pre 2006 release year :P )

The $20 or so membership for LNT or similar is well worth the risk though IMO. I joined just in case but in the end I suspect I'll just be helping a good cause lol
