I can't say, since I don't really know. But I don't think it would be a problem. The motor isn't in the headlight.

Still, respect for people willing to put in the work to keep the bumper they wanted/stay on the toyota side.

Bump. Anyone have a DIY on the BRZ headlamp swap for the FRS? I have been looking into this for months now. Found a decent deal on a pair with everything needed. Except for the manual leveling switch/motor (FRS does not have that). Yet I have heard the manual leveling system is not needed.

I have a 10 Series. It has a lot of these options. Does anyone think i could just swap lights with a BRZ?

Not a straight swap. To my knowledge you'll have to re-pin the connectors. Isn't that hard though and is reverse-able.
Also you won't have the connections for the leveling motor. GTS/Series 10 lights are auto leveling, BRZ/FRS/GT aren't.

I followed Moto-Ps writeup (link in post 79, previous page); the wiring between the JDM GT86 lights and BRZ lights are very similar. There were two wires I needed to flip though (I can look at the pics later to see which two). I swapped the 8-pin connector on the BRZ housing to the 6-pin connector from the FR-S headlights. I used the BRZ turn signals, so I took the flying leads from the BRZ housing and soldered on a connector to connect to the FR-S chassis harness. My setup is essentially plug and play now. I have been running them for about six months now and absolutely love them. The only thing that doesn't work is the leveling motor, though I may look into utilizing it.

The turn signal housings in the bumper are still in place, but I plan on using them for fog housings (and the typical fog housings will be brake ducts).

I'd post pics now, but I don't have access to Flickr at work. There should be a pic or two in my build thread if you want to see what they look on the car, though I'm sure we know what it looks like all buttoned up.

If/when you sell your 86 lights, let me know. I will take them off your hands for a fair deal

the BRZ has so much more value and with Scion's fix price you can probably get it cheaper than the FRS.

I would love to do this, if only they imported the BRZ here...
