Scroll down to interior picture. Click between models "86" or "GT86" It's pretty much the same as GT and GTS in Australia except we don't get Navigation. Gives you a nice comparison of the interiors and you can kind of see the speedo differences as well. |
there is no "safety" issue... if there was it would not have passed ADR approval...

Reverse speedo

The digital speed readout isn't a perfect solution either because it's hard to read when wearing sun glasses. The problem seems to be that the speeds we need to pay closest attention to (i.e.; the rigidly enforced speed limits) are at the bottom of the dial - furthest from the windscreen field of view and sometimes obscured by the wheel. An answer might be to move those numbers to the top. The speedo would have to run in reverse but that's not unprecedented. The Jag XK120 had a rev counter that ran anticlockwise.

The digital speedo imho is next to perfect & easy to read & easily read with polariser sunnies on, day or night, sun in your face or on the dash. So much so that the analog speedo is a complete waste of perfectly good usable space for what should be mandatory gauges such as oil pressure & temps - with a digital readout :)
