you know a salesmen i'm dealing with told me actual special orders cannot be put in till the inventory in the area sell out. and these mark up are not helping with that.

My dealer added no markup nor any extra unwanted accessories to mine. MSRP was what I paid.

Unsurprisingly, of the five they got yesterday, only one was left on the lot when I left yesterday (a Firestorm 6MT) and I doubt it will last the weekend.

Whether Scion approves of these things or not - paying them is ridiculous and just encourages the dealers to keep doing it.

That Toyota dealer is the first dealer to receive Scion FRS, no other dealer has one. I'm planning on checking the other dealers to order one at msrp with no add-ons. I'm glad that I test drove one. Now, I can definitely put in an order for one.

The car is only worth what people are willing to pay. Don't pay the markups, and the markups go away. Simple as that. In a short while, these morons will realize the cars are just sitting there with no activity on them. With nearly a thousand Scion dealers country-wide, there are plenty of places to find this car. It's NOT a rare car, contrary to what everyone says.

At that point I'd be 8 feet tall and green; throwing both the salesman and his little salesman desk through the showroom ceiling.

Way to stand your ground. If we all zero tolerance this BS, the price gouging will be very short lived.

Monkey see mark up.

Monkey pay mark up.

Or No Deal!

Would someone please Google Pure Price?!

Pure Price does not = MSRP.

I'll take "no deal" from you, and a competing dealership will get my money:lol:

That's right...the whole idea behind "Pure Price" is "Pure Bull$hit". It's for pu$$ies who are afraid to negotiate with a car salesman.

It is a joke. Scion dealers are more than willing to add overpriced options that most people don't want (the leather seats are a perfect example) and even mark the cars up $7K because they can, and then they pull the "Pure Price" card and expect customers to take it...

Give me a break. The BS Scion dealers will just drive traffic to either other Scion dealers who don't play these games or to Subaru, or worst case, to another car company who is willing to sell their cars at or below invoice.

OMG I know SW Florida sucks. The dealer here has a 31k FR-S(Ft. Myers Toyota). And same "Marketing Adjustment". People who are getting this care at MSRP rejoice T_T.

I have to postpone getting an FR-S. I just can't afford it with all the mark-ups. I hope the hype goes down and this car sells really bad so the price will drop :P. Come on america by G Coupes and Mustangs.

LOL. FT. Myers Toyota told me the FR-S they had was 1 of 50 FR-S that will come to the US. Only 50 this year? :bs:
