Ha! Technically when it comes to understeering, all AWD vehicles are front biased!

ZING!

edit: you reply to this with something serious, you are both void of humor and are incapable of understanding it.

It's sounds like only the front wheels are powered by the gas engine, the electric powers the front or rear, so maybe FWD with AWD Hybrid? It's a weird setup for sure.

Yup.. Hence FWD...ish

Edit: Before anyone starts.. Yes I know, it's only FWD-ish.. but stiiiillllllll.

In the context of discussions, there will be two types of FWD cars:

Street cars, like what you and I know. Understeer, light or heavy.

Race cars, not 100% like what you and I know. Some are production-based and limited by chassis design. Some are purpose-built race cars.

As funny as it seems, Nissan's approach is simple: to win at Le Mans, aero is a large part of the design question. What would one do if engine config was not a limiting factor?

This is what you see. And until the ACO clarifies the rules, there will always be radical/unconventional designs such as this from time to time.

But but... the torque split on Subaru's STI is technically 40/60 front to rear!

;)

Maybe they would have still chosen this?

Did Nissan state they chose this route due to engine config dictating it? I haven't read that yet. You're inferring it, or at least you're inferring that if there weren't engine config limitations they would not have pursued this route, but I haven't read that.

Then all we can do is hope and pray the ACO doesn't do that, otherwise it might end up looking like the joke that has become F1.
