I'm out.

I'm very interested in doing this to my car, preferably this week while I'm home on leave. Could you tell me what you did, what I need, and how to do it? Please and thank you!

Dude - start at the top of the thread and read it. And/or do a SEARCH. I was super actively involved and shared EVERYTHING regarding this process. If this is something you want to do, you need 'the pipe' I don't have any left, but someone out there might.

Why not just put a PVC ball valve in the small rubber hose between the sound generator and the cabin? You could probably just replace the hard plastic 90 degree connector with one of these in the proper size. This way you can turn it on and off at will, and remove it if you change your mind. It would also mean no changes to the intake tract volume, which is actually tuned much like the exhaust on a 2 stroke engine- I'd be careful of changing the intake volume- that little plastic chamber is there for a reason. I'll get a valve and try this and let you know how it turns out.

Hey Spartan

You wouldn't by any chance still have that tube?

This one, with the throttle body coupler, elbow and clamps? Sure do. It's on my car till my new intake comes in.

Wonder how much better this mod does then the Airaid now that dynos have come out saying the Airaid is losing power. Couple dynos have showed that its definately losing some whp.

I feel beacuse everyone is not puting air straightners around the MAF is the bigger issue. That's why I am keeping the factiry air box, I kept it on my WRX and was able to put down 350 WHP and 333 WTQ on a Mustang dyno.

When my HKS Premium Suction kit is on, you get first shot at it.
