Got this header installed last thursday and Iīm quite happy with it. To me it mostly sounds stock (the rest of the exhaust is still stock), but the torque dip is definitely gone. No tune and no CEL so far. I donīt get why it doesnīt come like this from factory. I think the extra pull in the 3k-4.5k range will help a lot as a daily. I got it used for 400$ so I couldnīt be hapier.

I've had mine installed (Catted) since Feb 20. Love it! Compliments the Invidia N2 niceless without destroying or changing the exhaust note.

Has anyone here tried running a pop tune with this specific cat before? I know you will most likely blow out the factory cat with such a tune but not sure how resilient the ft86 one is.

I ran OFT Stage 2+ (supposedly designed for the catted header but, granted, it was an early beta release version) for a little under a year and it disintegrated the cat in mine lol. Back on stock header running E85 now...

You ran the wrong tune mate.

There is

Stage1 - OEM CAT
Stage2 - Catted UEL/EL Header
Stage2+ - No Cat UEL/EL Header

I'm running Stage2 and it's been fine.

Is the rest of your exhaust stock? Do you have any sounds clips? I’d love to hear it. I love how the N2 sounds and I’d like to hear it with an aftermarket catted header. Thanks

Hey guys I got the ft86sf catted uel for about 2 years. Since this year I get P0420 every 3 or 4 days after I delete it, is the cat slowly faulting or was it just a matter of time until it shows up? I have no tune and the first two years I maybe had to delete the code once a year...
Can I still drive like that?

Only mistake, not getting a tune since day one!! Go get a tune and your problem will be solved

Well you're running rich to compensate and that's going to wear the cat out much quicker... Just get a tune and you won't have to worry about CELs.

I have to say, regretfully I'm taking off the catted header. Bought myself some TOMEI UEL headers catless. Going to shoot flames for a bit to scare off tailgaters.

That being said the UEL catted FT86Speed headers were great!

How does either the cat/careless sound in combo with the Perrin catback? (3" resonated)
