It supposedly takes the tractor-like sound of the boxer engine and makes it sweet sounding by 'tuning' a port from the engine bay and bringing it into the cabin to 'adjust' the natural sound from the engine. (don't start, just my opinion on the sound after living with a sweet rotary note :))

I read Japanese and I don't see anywhere it says the headlights are not interchangeable or there are different fenders. There are a few "Fender Garnishes" being offered but that appears to be just a tack on piece that fits over the vent area on the fenders.

We're talking about the rear fenders, the fronts look pretty much the same to me...but maybe it's just the color of the cars and the lighting accents.

You're probably right about it just being the color/lighting. I can see how one might think they look different but there is no mention of front or rear fenders being different in the text. :iono:

Well if they were different I it would definitely be in this training manual so I doubt they are but as you said, well see. I Just hope they have this thing in the test drive area! Toyota is listed as having cars there...

Toyota if you're reading, the following are things I absolutely want :

1. Track stripped model (the one without painted bumpers, nice wheels, no sun roof, etc)

2. Smaller steering wheel with same OEM functionality (i.e. 330mm)

3. Harness compatible seats

4. Dare I say TRD weld in roll cage? I think I just did.

Nope. The IS250 uses a different gearbox. The one we suspect is similar to the JDM Altezza gearbox and is also used by Mazda and was used in the S15 and S2000.

I thought everyone was saying that the front fenders on the TRD were different as compared to the standard version of the car, but since someone a few posts up redirected me to the rear, it seems now that the TRD has the same rear fenders as the BRZ STi. Maybe it's just me, but the BRZ STi does have much more aggressive rear fenders, compared to the smooth FR-S/FT-86 ones, right?

Or has lighting been messing with the that hard this whole time.

+1 on the BRZ statement ^above... The STI concept does seem to have more aggressive side / rear... but the front looks gross (imho). But then again, we're comparing a real / live concept car in HD picture and video... to a scanned / phone-photo tiny picture of a training manual ...

Page 19 ? depresses me ! They had to put a pic of the Toyota F1 car. Toyota why did you have to pull out of F1. Should never have given up. They were so close in their final year, the new f1 was already built. yeah but the speedo will only go to 160 in the FR-S meaning that the gearing is shorter which is fine... how often do you go 160?......Even in my Supra I think I have hit that once or twice ( I hit 175 once) at an oval track and to be honest it was scary as hell even though the car felt solid having fun at that speed is all in a stright line-ish, fun is traking a car and seeing what you can do with it at lower speeds:iono: again power is fun but what is the breaking point of top speed when you never get there, and all the fun is between 0-80ish....:burnrubber::scared0016:

If you simply want standard 2 DIN, get the Subaru, the Toyota is most definitely the Toyota standard size that is wider than 2 DIN. I still have a JDM 200X OEM Toyota Navi lying around somewhere and was thinking to put it in but I recently read that the TV tuner in it won't work anymore since Japan went all digital. (and what's the point of it if the TV doesn't work?) Any of you US peoples want to buy a Navi? haha

Oh no. If it were the front end, then I'd say you're crazy, but the rear of the TRD is definitely sculpted and defined like the BRZ STi concept. The FR-S has no definition at all. It flows like a waterfall from C-pillar to rear wheel well.

There is no confirmation of a limited to 500 edition. Its all rumours at the moment. And as the cars havent officially been unveiled there is no concrete evidence on any of the wheels shown actualy being the ones that come with the road car.

regarding the rear fender, think it's just a more aggressive side skirt. there's a 'white' shadow to show it to be more aggressive than the base but think it's just for contrast with the silver.

IMO, think it's the same and TRD will just have a lip kit as always.
