Attachment 2786 |
^ that looks wicked.
I'll just be happy with replacing the scion badges with blacked out toyota ones. |
1. Wheels and tires from my tC [Volk CE28 17x8 & 245/40/17 Bridgestone RE11]
2. H&R coilovers (for corner balancing) and sway bars if needed 3. Brakes pads and SS lines 4. Intake/Header/Exhaust 5. Lighter flywheel and heavy-duty clutch 6. OS Giken LSD |
Good set of coilovers never hurt to start!

Going to get a Motec and ITBs.
Na actually gonna keep it stock and wait for aftermarket goodies. |
Keep it stock. I have a feeling this car stock is going to be great enough for me.

I'll be getting mine in blue sooooo Bronze CR Kai's/225 Front 255 Rear (if they'll fit) Michelin Pilot Sport Cups, Intake, high flow cat, 3" exhaust in preparation for my eventual turbo. In that order.

1. Change the taillights, so it doesn't look so bad. I really hate the taillights =.=
2. Get a Toyota badge 3. Change the name of the car. I'm gonna have to wait for it's name to be debuted at the TMS, or if I can make it a custom name. How does FR-S Ikaros edition sound? =D 4. Probably some new brembo brakes when the stock breaks gets old |

Also I am pretty certain that the parts I listed will be made. They are all big companies and have made parts for a lot of less capable sports cars, they won't miss making parts for the FRS. The only thing I'm not certain is the RPF1s. Heard rumors about them coming out with 17x9 +35 5x100, but can't confirm if they actually will. Quote:
Yes I also know 4300k is brighter, but I do like the whiter look with a slight bluish tint with the 6000k. Not everything about the car has to do with racing. Lol  |
If I were to buy one, pending one exhaust design, I'd do headers back exhaust to get that boxer sound up and singing.
Next, since the tranny is made by Suby iirc, I'd buy a short-shifter with the quickness because stock Suby shifters are usually a sloppy mess. Finally, an intake and flash, to get the sound out of it as well. I say to get sound out because I know these won't produce much power like a FI car, but I wouldn't buy this car to be a track terror, instead it would be a commuter. |

Can't forget hope! haha |
All of the above!! Come on! Have faith in the Japanese!!

Rain guards if they aren't a factory option

Well that's the plan. I was playing around with the idea of holding off on that until I get a good deal more power in it. Those will be the eventual tires though when I'm able to put down a solid 300-325 rwhp.:burnrubber: |
clear bra!
|
DeBadge (if Scion)
Coilovers (and lower about 1.5") Alignment Exhaust (TRD) In that order |
I have always wanted some Enkei NT03+Ms on my subaru. Maybe I'll put em on my BRZ:
http://www.enkei.com/nt03m.html Ohhh. so sexy. There was a set of these in person at my local tuner shop for several years. Every time I would see them in person, they'd look even sexier. |
wheel then lower the suspension
|
Number one for me will be variable geometry intake manifold and headers a close second.
|
carbon fiber hood
|
you know the carbon fiber hood wont save any weight, right?
|
more a curiosity question.. but i wonder what a set of ITBs would do for this motor. Insane throttle response and maybe 20-30more hp is all Daddy needs :)

The reason why I wonder is because this car was developed with the mindset to keep costs down as one of the primary goals. ITBs have a very expensive $/hp coefficient. They may have gone with a single TB and traditional intake manifold/plenum setup just for that reason alone. Unless you're part of the engineering team who developed the FB no one can say for sure at this point how much HP will be lossed or gained from a set of ITBs. Btw... not in all cases do ITBs create a tradeoff in the way you mentioned (i.e. gain in torque up high and loss down below or vice versa). Properly sized runners alone can yield favorable results. For someone like me i'd be happy with improved throttle response and a bump of perhaps 20-30hp. 20-30hp optimistic? Yes, perhaps but i'm a glass half full kinda guy :D Geez.. i'm excited about modding this car already. Yikes for my pocketbook! |
Te37 or rota equivalents will be sex on this car.
|
let's see... change the side reflectors to white (JDM stylez yo!!! lol jk), lower it (probably just TRD springs), exhaust at some point or maybe just bigger exhaust tips (again, if TRD offers them), paint stock rims black+red lip (time attack style)+yellow calipers, yellow film on the fog lights, carbon fiber wrap for the roof, the little part on the trunk where the scion emblem is and the middle part of the front bumper. Also change the orange lights for both front and black blinkers to white (still orange light, but not orange bulb color that reflects in the housing and makes it ugly (IMHO)) and then I'll take it from there when some actual car specific parts come out from the aftermarket industry...
Boy Racer I guess? :burnrubber: to each their own... |
Wheels/Tires
the stock ones look so bad |
wheels, tires, wax job... Then porting and a tune.. eh?
|
Springs first, then wheels. That way I can get a better idea of what offsetto get. Possibly audio at the same time.
|
None cause being stock is everything. Maybe tires once they go bald.
|
R-Compounds for sure, then maybe front sway/shocks (SCCA Stock Class build)
|
First mod is engine tune and Nitrous Oxide installation. Can we even out Nos on here?
