Make it a circuit battle because the horse has more torque off the line, but buggies corner for shit.

Not so sure about that.

No way. That cart was pre-ackermann. 86 would gain back in the corners.

That day in San Antonio was a freeze warning from Friday night going into Saturday afternoon. Either he was drunk or doing something stupid. I've seen a blue FR-S in that area a couple of times. May he rest in peace.

Might not want to mention that to Bob Hoover!

I found this:
In 1869, Irish scientist Mary Ward was riding in a steam-powered automobile built by her cousins. As they rounded a bend in the road, Ward was thrown from her seat and fell in the vehicle’s path. One of the wheels rolled over her and broke her neck, killing her instantly.

Wear you're seat belt!!!

Now that I know about him, I'll be sure to bring it up at the first possible opportunity.

...and I predict wholehearted agreement. ;)

You might as well ride on a bike if you're gonna drive without a seat belt. it looks like the mistake was not letting off and over correcting when they went around the truck and one clipped the other and this is the result. Shame but this is what happens when you're pride is driving the car.

I feel sympathy for the family, but when the death is so avoidable it's hard to feel a lot of sympathy for the driver.

Street racing without a seatbelt is seriously one of the dumbest things you can ever do.

Glad that no bystanders were hurt.

themadscientist 01-11-2015 07:55 PM

Seatbelt? Pfft.
