If we are against your idea - we have generic minds.

You are pretty immature. You post an idea, ask for responses, almost everyone tells you its stupid, then you say we are the problem because we don't like your idea.. Grow up.

I hear there are a couple people jumping off a bridge, most of us find it stupid though.. since we are so generic minded, maybe you should take your liberated mind and jump off the bridge with those few enlightened ones.

We posted the only constructive thing that could possible come of this: throw the stickers in the trash.

If I pose a question: "What is 1+1?" Then 50 people respond with "2," how valuable were the last 49 responses posting the same damn thing? And I challenge those who are opposed to post a pic of their car so we get an idea of how generic/non-generic their "Cosmetic Mod" tastes are.

Interior or exterior? I just finished making a rear seat delete, which I have only seen 3 people post ones they bought, and know of 1 other who made their own. It had been winter here in Maine so I have left the outside be for now. Do you call that generic? I was leaning towards STi lip kit and TRD louvers myself, similar to your car but I'm not slamming my car.

Not looking for approval, just opinions. I've already done things to my car with which people have expressed distaste (other stickers, cheap wheels, louvers, TRD parts in a Subaru) so no need to try enlightening me on that. All the people in this thread rephrasing what I said way ahead of them in the OP: "Con: Tacky - may draw unwanted attention" aren't adding anything meaningful. As if I don't know what I already stated. I also like how they don't acknowledge all of my 5 points.

Also, http://www.r-word.org/

Ok, I'll acknowledge your 5 points:

1] Mock the JDM Shoshinsha/Wakaba badges people have which mean the same thing. I have no clue what these badges are and therefore this point is well...pointless.
2] These signs in English are a thing in Japan like how they rebadge "Toyota 86" to "Scion FR-S." My car with JDM parts trying to be USDM will make it even more genuinely JDM. I'm lost, do you live in Japan??
3] Removable/reusable so I can put them on/take them off as I please. That's nice, perhaps you can sell or rent them to the driving instructor at the local high school.
4] Drivers on the road will space themselves from me, creating an invisible bubble. This is the BEST of your 5 points as I do not think I would want to drive near you.
5] Even the best pro race drivers constantly learn to perfect their driving technique. We're all students of driving, especially in a car purpose built to teach us how to drive. I beg to differ, I am not a student of driving.

I hope you are happy now. If you do not want answers then do not ask the question.

Not sure why it matters but you asked.

woode 03-30-2014 03:10 PM

Putting stupid shit on the car doesn't make it better.. I prefer a clean look.. not rice. I don't even know why I am still replying because I am pretty sure you are just trolling us. Nobody is this dumb, lol. Touche, sir. Good trolls

ntron1 03-30-2014 03:18 PM

Yup..Gotta be a troll 'cause no one can be that superficial, insecure and in need of attention. Been a pleasure but I'm out....

Superficial... hmmm well let's see... guess that's wrong if we're in the COSMETIC MODS section.

Insecure... I'll let my 1 against all steadfastness in this thread speak for itself. Bcoz defending an unpopular stance shows REAL insecurity.

Attention... my stringing people along has only been bumping this thread for more votes. Pls dont go

Speaking of generic tastes, thanks for posting a generic looking R8 in the "Cosmetic Mods" section of an 86 forum. According to people on your side of the fence, these signs would be more fitting on your car.

I would just like to say I voted for Option 4. Not because I think you are a ricer, or a drunk, but because I don't care much for the the other 3 options and Option 4 is the closest thing to "none of the above". Don't hate me for choosing this option, you asked for opinions and I gave mine.

Now this may be because I have "generic" mind-set for like a clean 86. But I personally think it would sour the mods you have done so far (again, my opinion). I have enjoyed your tasteful cars mods, even going as far as voting for you in the Car of the Year thread a couple months back.

Seriously though, get which ever one you personally like. It is your car and you can do as you please.
