waiting so impatient for the GT86!

Put 75k miles on an '85 NA. Now I daily drive the '88 SC I bought as a rolling shell and resurrected.

At the last track event:

I am on this board. pez222 on mr2oc/spyderpez on the Spyder boards.
86 MR2/03 MR-S.
Personally the GT-86 seems to be the spiritual successor to the Spyder, the last Toyota-badged sports car in the US.

it does feel similar to the spyder in its lightness and handling. Almost surprising to get a car that feels this good from the factory.

I never owned an mr2 but liked them. I did have an 85 supra which is exactly why I love this car.

Even the wheel diameter is exactly the same.

Hey nice MkII us Supra owners appreciate nice specimens like this.

Also own the styling predecessor to the MR2 Mk1: the Fiat X1/9

Hopefully there is room in my life for an FRS or BRZ someday...

You can add me to that list. I had an 89 MKI and I also thought the BRZ/86 reminded me of my MR2.

Yup, another former MR2 and current GT86 owner checking in. :) I had a 1991 SW20, which originally ran a normally aspirated 2-litre 3S-GE. Replaced it with a gen2 JDM 3S-GTE.
