Also, I have a set of V1.5 batteries for free if anyone needs a set or wants it to do some experimenting. Local pickup in SoCal however due to the weight.

They've been sitting for ~2 months now, but worked great prior to that.

Are your batteries the PC680/ETX16 setup or are they the Panasonic PowerSonic setup. I thought it was the latter.

I am awaiting new batteries to arrive and then its time to enjoy the kit at the next P-club AX. No class restrictions there.

They're the PowerSonic setup.

I also AX on occasion with the local PCA club here, they're a great group.

What am I doing wrong? I can't find the Procede Controller on the OFT website anymore, and what's the current status on them...With respect to tunes working with the Phantom?

Thanks.

OpenFlash has a whole new website that looks to be still under construction. Have you emailed or called them yet?

For those running the PC680 batteries on your ESC setup, did you have to condition the batteries initially? Can someone describe that procedure please?

stevo585 03-27-2016 11:51 PM

No I never did. Installed them right out the box. I have the PC680 for the car. Big cranks for the ESC. Is that what you mean? The big cranks have more CCA you should use them for the ESC.

dumb question (and sorry i didn't want to read 52 pages) - has anyone blown up their engines using ESC?

Nope

Has anyone replaced batteries yet for their ESC setup?

I had some issues with the batteries about 2 weeks ago and replaced both my EXT60 Big Cranks. I was wondering how common is this, if at all, or am I unluckly/lead footed?

I took the old batteries to Oriely's to have them both tested and turns out both of them tested "NO GOOD" on their tester, not sure what it tests for exactly. This probably means it wasn't a fluke bad battery since both of them were tested and needed to be replaced.

Here's the chance to influence my thought process. Over the Memorial Day weekend, actually the weeks before and after, I'm on a road cruise. I'll be headed for northern Georgia, New Orleans LA, Austin TX and back home to MN. And yes, the "Tail of the Dragon" will no longer be on the bucket list (spending a whole day in the area). I welcome any owner of the ESC to show me how well this unit performs.

I haven't had to replace them. And I'm pretty sure I've been using them the longest. Though I was having some quirks yesterday regarding charge so it may be an issue with them. I'll keep you posted.

You don't need to do anything to condition the batteries. It just happens all by itself. You'll notice an increase in power after a couple days or so after the batteries are "broken in".

@l0aded how did you tell you were having issues?
