Yup - got it, as well as a new USDM and JDM rom - looks like a whole new series has come out for the 2015's.

Do we know what they changed? Are there any table values different?

Sorry, I'm sure this question has been addressed.
I am loading up to take two cars to the track (one is the BRZ)
When I get there, access to the internet is spotty, so I would like to get the latest logcfg.txt file before I leave.

Can someone point me to a good (been hoping there is a 'standard' cfg file these days) logcfg.txt file for track use (that includes oil temp) for a ZA1JA00C ROM.
It is actually the OFTStg1 A00C ver 1.56.

I just cant spare the time to search 15 threads while trying to get loaded.
I had all these logging threads & github sites bookmarked, but I had a HD failure and wasnt using Chrome at that time :-(

TIA

As I mentioned to @steve99, ECUtek is now showing that a JA1JA02G ROM is now compatible, so makes me wonder if there's another G series release too. It's probably superseded by the D00 version however.

I'm sure there is, since I have a JDM ZA1JA02A

Do we have defs for these yet? Just wondering what has changed. My 86 is due for its 2nd service so I assume they'll update the ROM anyway?

They didn't do mine a couple of weeks ago, they reckon they did not know about any new firmware as I winged about rough idle with A/C on trying to get a copy of new rom . Maybe they don't have a TSB to do it. But A02G and D00G were out in newer cars

Doubt they will update it for you, defs should be out soon hopefully Td-d is pretty snowed under.

Has anyone messed with turning off DTC codes in RR? My rear speed sensor is giving me issues, which it putting the car in limp mode. Can I turn off the DTC code and it will go back to normal?

Assume your talking about rear O2 sensor ??

If its just throwing the cat efficency code P0420 from memory then yes you can just disable it .
But if the rear O2 is actually crook you will have to fix/replace it, as for some reason it will disable cruise control and possibly put you in limp home mode as the sensor is actually used for some functions.

What codes are comming up.

Sorry I messed up typing on my phone. The rear abs speed sensor got messed up and throwing the car into limp with a cell. I did disable it and it stopped the limp mode, but the traction and abs is still shot which sulks cause I have to drive 6 hours to the 86 expo tonight.

Yes disabling the code just "masks" the problem, won't solve it, new sensor will be required unfortunately, and I would imagine ABS EBD VSC Traction Brake force distribution ie all the nanny safety feature would be disabled car might be a handfull if you have to do emergency stop., should be plenty of "spare" ones at the 86 expo :-)

And... ZA1JA02A is up: http://www.romraider.com/forum/viewt...p?f=34&t=10888

Dantical 08-14-2014 03:24 PM

hey guys,.. iam having a Problem,.. my tuner did a "first small" tune and i want to add the Launch control and Flat foot shifting from ecu-mods.com

so i Need to save my .srf in to hex... but when i try to do it,.. ecuflash says:

„THIS rom image contains selections of invalid data which must be zero padded to make a contiguous file.

It is possible ipon subsequent loading of this file that you might flash over valid areas with these zeroed areas.

Do you wish to continue?“

Anyone in here who can help me ?
it is the ZA1JD00G

- sorry for the N00B question :(

SRF is structured rom format, it contains extra info about the rom not contained in the .hex or .bin format.

I am not familiar with the ecu mods changes but saving rom in .bin or hex will be fine the resulting file should be 1280k bytes , you need to save roms in .bin or .hex to be able to use romraider to edit roms as ecuflash is the only software that supports srf format.

Dantical 08-14-2014 06:54 PM

he is using ecuflash ,..
iam just wondering about that error message..
i already contacted xswrex about any help....

iam wondering that i canīt even save the original file into hex without getting this message.

is there a ready Definition for the ZA1JA00G?

Dantical 08-14-2014 06:56 PM

file size is 1,21 MB (1.277.952 Bytes) - something must be wrong i guess?

edit: the patcher says :
Error at Byte 0X066344 <0xd6 expected, 0f8 found>!

Does this say anything to you ?

as i said i am a noob and i would never touch the tune,.. just want that patch for the Launch control and flat foot shifting,... :/

The D00G roms are different structure to A01G or A00G so unless patcher is suited to D00G is not going to work.

thank you, but it is the ZA1JD00G
i have ZA1JA00G ,..
can i use the ZA1JD00G Definition?

- attached a Picture,.. hope it works

ok Steve99 - so it wonīt work until i get a right Definition for the ZA1JA00G - canīt find it anywhere :/

Dantical 08-14-2014 07:51 PM

- canīt edit my post,..

or is there a way to get a update from my dealer and try again?

what came along with the ecuflash install was
ZA1JA01G.xml - does this work when i Change the Name and the 01 to 00 in the XML?

steve99 08-14-2014 08:52 PM

No you need to match the correct definitions to each ROM type else you will be in trouble.

Read the First post (several times) and understand what you are doing else its not going to end well.

The Ecuflash defs are here link was in the first post

https://github.com/TD-D/SubaruDefs/t...20standard/BRZ

make sure you have the updated 32bitbase file

https://github.com/TD-D/SubaruDefs/t...standard/Bases

If it all looks to hard suggest you buy an Openflash Tablet their tunes have the Launch and Flat foot shift included and tunes are free and its very easy to use just plug and play $500 all up.

I'm not trying to be nasty but an OFT is cheaper than a new ECU.
www.openflashtablet.com

.

Dantical 08-14-2014 09:33 PM

no Problem,.. i understand you,...
i am just wondering why i canīt save it as a hex,... the error code seems to be my Problem - no matter of that 2 Gimmicks....updated everything still no luck.
i think we will upload the original file into the ecu again,...
maybe pulling it down again will solve the Problem - but i donīt think so ,...
thank you anyway for your commitment if someone maybe has a solution getting the right hex file,... pm me :(

Dantical 08-14-2014 09:38 PM

one further question:

are all original ZA1JA00G files the same ?
I mean downloading the ZA1JA00G from a stock car - und uploading it to my ecu ,.. will this work ?

propably my tuner messed the original file some how ?

yes it will you can also update to A01G or D00G just need the def files for each.

you always get error message when you save an srf as bin or hex its normal

@steve99 : You seem like the flashing Guru here :) .

I was wondering can I flash a ZA1JD00G file (the one that @Shiv@Openflash recently released for the 2015 EU-MT) on my 2013 GT86 with CalID ZA1JA00G. I've hex-edited the Bin file to read A00G and edited the XML-definition to read A00G so I don't have errors in RomRaider, but I'm a little scared that I will break something if I flash it through OpenFlash Tablet.

I've also been reading your topic about the Australian Ron98 knock fix and used your findings to run my EUDM GT86 on ron95 with great success, so many thanks for that also :)

the car doesn't car what version it came with, you can flash it with any version. I started with a01c and now am on b01c and its been fine.

Thank you for the Answer :)

How did you flashed it?
I've been trying to upload it trough OpenFlash tablet but it doesn't want to upload it. Keep getting "not compliant" error even though it's been edited with a hex-editor to match A00G

Or am I missing something?

ahhhhhhhh, well there is your problem. This only works with a Taxtrix device. OFT will only let you flash what ever your current version is. I figured you had a tactrix cable since you posted in the tactrix thread.
