He said that OEM parts broke faster than they have expected. That's all, he didn't write anything else about how it broke or etc. Just said they'll try to fix it before Odaiba... which is in few days

I feel like if it had some ghetto guy and not a pro drifter next to it people would be labeling it rice.

I wonder what they hell did they do to that engine.. something crazy like 9000rpm? is it boosted? Cause on OEM parts, those things have been NOS'd, boosted, blown to well past 675whp with no sign of stopping. The iCode ISF is @ 450whp NA... I'm.... befuddled to say the least. Glad that they are testing the breaking points of the engine under serious abuse though.

Or maybe they didnt really changed much of the internals to handle the added stresses....(which they should have done from the get go), so they just overstressed the OEM parts that they didnt change. Plus the videos sounds like hes bouncing off the rev limiter all day at every chance he can get so maybe the OEM parts arent made to handle that kind of constant abuse?

Toyota engines are usually tuned well under their capability from the factory.

So Orido blog about the reason why engine broke. He said that, engine run great on stock form, but when they try to tune it, engine go berserk. He said, he need to get a lots of custom parts from US to more depth program to run 100%.

At the Odaiba, in practice runs, he had to pull out the engine again, so hopefully in Suzuka (round 2), everything is ready for it

He's getting aftermarket stuff from America. He was saying... so hopefully he'll get all figure out by next round

I just finish reading Orido's blog. He didn't really have all 8 cylinders working. He was saying that at the end of the event (Odaiba), 3 cylinders were only ones working...

I see no thrill in drifting, sure fire way to quickly ruin your car.

Each have own opinion. You no like drifting, that's not a problem.

I should probably have chosen my words a little more carefully. I see no point in drifting as a personal hobby, but as a spectator sport i find it pretty amusing.

Drifting isn't cheat hobby... I prefer to do track, cuz cheap, but I like drifting too. Grip, drift, & rally, they all improves driver's skills

Well i dont think much of any hobby involving automotive would be considered "cheap" especially compared to any other unless you like building planes or something. However i can definitely agree that tracking can be seen as "cheaper" vs drifting.. give or take a few variables of course.

completely agree i like to do as much as i can to test myself in other areas. and i find it all very fun too of course but i like the challenge and expanding my skills. Kinda depends on what mood im in :thumbup:
