This morning was my first spotting of the new Ferrari Roma. I am hoping it's a local car, next time I'll get some pics.

It looks good, much better than the California..

Ive actually seen a couple of these recently. One red, one silver.

They never sold these up here in Canada. All of them that show up must have come from the US.

Day off, decided to say hi to my other car, tucked away in storage. Bumped into Jay Kay's new car.. rally prepped and heading over to him tomorrow...

strat61caster 11-29-2021 05:28 PM

I touched a McLaren 570s yesterday.
Smaller then I expected, they look way more imposing in pictures.

Lancia Delta Integrale, now there's one I have never seen here. It would probably disintegrate in moisture.
Another one sadly we will never see is the Renault Megane RS, unless it is in a video game.

Not only did I see Jay Kay's car, I also saw the Fulvia that will make an appearance in the new PS GT game, it has been digitised including the engine noise..

very rare indeed!

bad obsession motorsports has one of the kits that they're eventually planning on building up, details were buried in one of their videos. but considering that their current build is 75% done after nearly 7 years, it'll be a while before they get to it!

He's a bit of a car guy.. I remember reading about his Enzo.. Ferrari had offered him an opportunity to buy one but he had only seen red ones, didn't like'em much.. He then saw a black one and bingo!! He had to get one..

Sunday count:

Started with the Alfa (photo), then a stroll to the local gas station to buy the Sunday paper, happen upon the following, sadly no photos, they were moving and I'm too slow with my camera...

Lamborghini - no idea which one, too many in my neighborhood to care..

Lotus Evora

Datsun 1500 pick-up (circa late 70s or early 80s, stock photo attached)

Sunbeam Alpine (white)

Various hot hatches - of note a Hyundai i30N and a Yaris GR

I laughed so hard when you posted this since I had one in my hand at that very moment.

The picture you showed (in North America at least) would be a 73 to 76. The 77 and up had the rubber bumperettes added to the front bumper for "safety".

They kinda look cool, mini version of the 70s American Ford trucks... I will try and get a photo next time I see it.. I don't recall seeing any ugly bumpers on the local car.

Okay, it's not a Sunday.. but feels like it, we are in our second day of our bank holiday.. photo of a newish kid on the block... BTW there was a Urus parked a few cars away.. didn't take a photo as the owner was in the car and I didn't wish to give him a boost thinking that I was admiring his SUV!!

On our way into town to do the shopping yesterday, (Saturday) we saw these cars parked at a local eatery. I dropped the wife off and drove back to have a look and snap some phone photos. The owners were all in eating so I didn't get to speak to anyone. But obviously a group of Viper owners enjoying a days outing. You don't see this every day!

Sorry, may look similar to a Lotus but it's not. It's an Elva Courier. The only car Elva built to be street legal.

This week started with a Ferrari F50 (the first I've seen on the road). The usual gaggle of Lambos, the following stood out, display of extreme bad taste.. and I then saw the driver (business suit etc, wearing white socks....).. oh this morning saw a circa 1966 Mustang (metallic blue)..

65MPH actually, on a good day. Of course many of the ones that are restored can probably do better. Not all have the original engines.

The question is, how well can it stop from 60mph?

And if it stops well, how do you avoid becoming a bug splat on the *inside* of the windshield?

It seemed to be doing pretty well relative to the modern cars around it in terms of acceleration and braking, but IDK how much safety factor there was or what equipment it had. The picture was the closest I got.
