Yeah our cars are a lot quicker than people give them credit for, especially with full bolt on e85. Its just cuz we dont have that midrange punch everyone wants and so they "feel" slow. Much like the S2000.
A lot of people forget that in these cars you shift a lot later than most and thats where we make up the time difference. By the time we've hit 60 some cars have already shifted twice, but we've only shifted once (pre 17+ cuz gear ratio). You lose A LOT of time during a shift no matter how good you are.
I knew someone who kept claiming his S2000 was super slow. When i was riding a long with him i realized he never shifted above 5k RPMs cuz he was used to his old Honda Civic. He wasnt even hitting V-tech. Mind blown once i pointed it out lol.
