Dyno says otherwise. So do our. 1/4 mile times (best time we ran were 2 and 3 pulls after an ECU reset).

I see zero evidence of any claims to the contrary. Again - the long and short term ignition trims are right there in the stock data list to be viewed with a Toyota Techstream scan tool. I think I'm going to believe that and the actual evidence until someone proves different.

Is there a chance the ignition tables are set at a pre-determined level from the factory, but that level not at 100% advance?

I would be a bit concerned if a car came factory with full-advance, because a lot of dealers don't fill with 91 octane straight off the lot.

I'm thinking the default values are higher than what the computer whittles it down to, but not at maximal values.

People like Visconti are looking at the actual maps...Have heard from multiple sources as well it's a Subaru Denso ECU and works just like all of the others for most of its operation.

Just to be clear, the toyota tech stream data IS the OEM datalist and not an interpretation of the datalist.

The EcuTek software has the OEM datalist , it's not a interpretation.

How do you think EcuTek is able to launch their product and on day one fully supports all ECUs in all regions? Where do you think EcuTek gets all the stock roms from lol?

They also have other datalist items that the tech stream or other dealer tools do not have.

I am aware. But those ignition trim values on the Toyota scantool should read 0 if they did not exist. And the car should have LOST power after the ECU reset.

So far this car behaves EXACTLY like Toyota ignition logic by any measurable test you can perform. I can't tell you why that is, but seeing as how ECU TEK doesn't seem to know either - I challenge you to come up with a better explanation for its behavior.
