Ive been on moto east flex fuel for about a month and be happy but i can smell fuel sometimes at stoplights and instances similar , fuel lines are good. Im wondering if E85 is just that way ?

You can get a slight smell. Especially if you are catless. I'm so used to it I don't notice it any more my self. It shouldn't be terribly strong though. Just take a power towel and touch all the fittings after letting it idle for a few.

If you're smelling the E85 fumes, then you must have smelt the petrol fumes before you switched. E85 doesn't smell like petrol either; it smells more musty

I am catless and thought that might be some/most of it as a precaution i rechecked header/overpipe bolts and everything was good so next thought was injector seals but i havent had any of the symptoms that would go along with that acording to the forums.

You will often smell the exhaust gasses at stoplights depending on which way wind is blowing E85 has a sweet smell and is distinctive so you notice over the normal exhaust fumes of other cars

Either your trolling or someone has given you incorrect information.

20years plus ago ethanol in fuels was a problem.

When you started to have headaches on your car you will remember me giving you warning and an advice from your Japanese auto mechanic. All I can prescribed you when it happens is to take tylenol 500mg 2x /day when it needed.

Guys have been running e85 on wrx, libertys for over 5 years, sure its only been 3 years on 86\brz platform wit direct injection. but guys have put 50 or 60 thousand km on e85 , some guys running 20psi boost.

sure people have blown up wrx or libertys on e85 but those guy are generally running pretty high boost and drive hard so likey not directly attributable to e85.

so what exactly fails or will total the car if you run e85 ?

yes run an incompatable oil and you will likely run into problems

any photos evidence nature of failures ??

no you would need to have a flex fuel kit as well and a tune to get the full potential power out of your e85.

you can run a dedicated E85 tune and get same power out of a na or boosted engine. without a flex sensor you need to ensure E% of the fuel is stable. Not everywhere has varying E% like USA, here we can buy guaranteed 85% ethanol fuel from pumps. Flex sensor makes life easy but if you have a stable source of E85 not necessary.

On NA cars the tolerance for varying ethanol content is quite wide and you can get away without flex sensor even with fuels faring from say 60-85%, relying in the inbuilt fuel trim compensations, you wouldn't get away with that on a boosted car though.
