It's leather trimmed on the bolsters & Alcantara on the seat & seat back.

My sti premium had the same apolstering, and I loved it. Love it even more now in the BRZ with its much better designed seats.

Since it appears that this is your first car or your first new car and based upon your last comment, I suggest you save the money and go with the Premium. The money you save plus interest or capital gain will be those dollars you should be able to spend on your next car.
If you buy the Premium and are totally satisfied with it, you will have that great satisfaction that you saved your money.

Upon reviewing all the above thread comments on seat design and materials, you should see the confusion and varied preferences. For this reason: go the less-cost route..

So far I was considering a Limited (for the nice interior) but now I am thinking Premium might be okay and I can save more money for parts.

Thanks.

Same thing with key fob entry/key start. When the unlock button is pressed the interior lights are turned on and when doors are locked the interior lights turn off. For me, this has occurred fifty feet distant from the car.

Also if one with the key fob entry/key start unlocks the car inadvertently (with the key fob), the doors will re-lock after a few minutes if not opened.

The most suprising featuer of the keyless start is that the interior lights up at night when I walk by the car without touching her at all, and does dim when I walk away from the car. This feature makes it seem like she is almost alive, waiting for me, pretty neat..

I was kind of in the same boat. I came out of a 2008 BMW 650i and was used to keyless entry, automatic headlights (not sure of the Premium has those), automatic dual-zone climate control, leather seats. Didn't want to give up the keyless entry, so handy to just grab the door handle and it unlocks. And I also like the spoiler. So Limited for me.

But, to the thread starter ultimately, buy what you like and who cares what a bunch of anonymous forum posters think?

Got a smoking deal on the Premium, so I went with that. Only thing I miss is the heated seats.

Same here, got a good price on a '13 WRB Premium with 2.9% financing. Jumped on it and the rest is history.

No the cars in the bay area come pre-installed with lo-jack.... on all cars I have seen so far... I suppose tge dealerships r doing it.

Also it is not just an alarm system that subaru is putting in....there is an immobilizer as well.

The brz doesn't come with lo-jack. Skytracker is a much better system (tracks via gps & cops can get a live track from Skytracker when you report your car stolen, via the in car computer via Web). And you can use the system to track it yourself as well, so no proprietary custom hardware on the tracking end needed as long as you the owner authorize tracking for a specific instance.
