Joe, I'm pretty sure the airbag is in the upper portion of the pillar. My plan is to mount it as low as I can in the pillar, to help a little with imaging & soundstage. I have a JBL MS-8 on hand, so that will help quite a bit with processing & imaging as well.

The 4" is a little big and won't drop in directly though, my recommendation would be a JL XD500/3 and either C5 or C3 2 way components to go with the Stealthbox. If you want me to try and do a package for everything i can check on that too.

the hertz hi energy is a much nicer mid, and it will fit... and it can be bought alone.

the air bag is in the upper portion, it deploys down across the window simply popping the trim forward to hang on a tab when deployed.

That's exactly what I thought, thanks!

Do you guys think the area around the door speaker is flat enough to flush mount a tweeter?

Why do you want to put a tweeter in the door? My thought is, if I mess up, an A-pillar is much cheaper to replace than a door panel. Also, the imaging & soundstage are much better (usually) being a little higher & farther forward (i.e. A-pillar mounted).

Do a group buy :bonk: i cant wait to upgrade the audio and i am going to go all out on this car!

AH I WANT. i was planning to get the oem sub/amp upgrade that mounts on the same spot but this looks like a wayyy better option and it's JL! can't wait until this is available!

Has anyone considered a "free-air" midwoofer in the rear qtr panels? If someone built a proper enclosure back there i'd totally buy it. There's quite a bit of room there and with 2 x 6-8" woofers or even subs you won't need a sub and it'll sound great.

Damn I'm surprised how many "thanks" on this post. What price do you guys expect? I know retail on just the sub is around 350 so take that in to account but if you are serious send me a pm so I can give them a number that we need.

Y is it not possible for just a box? I already have a sub from my old car, just need a box to fit this car
