I'm considering purchasing a race seat to install for track days only, as I need to have a seat with functioning air bags for street legality here. If I set the race seat up correctly with mounts fixed to suit my seating position, it should be a pretty straight forward swap, but I don't want to have to keep inserting and removing a resistor from the plug each time I swap.

Does anyone know if you could buy a spare plug to wire a permanent resistor to, so that all I'd have to do was switch plugs so to speak?

Something like this maybe?

The airbag sensor would still chime, tho. Right?

What is the consensus on taking care of the passenger side ? My drivers side is no problem with a resistor and using the OEM seatbelt. No lights or anything. I will be installing the passenger side soon and have a resistor, but what else is needed or what else do I need to do to keep the airbag light from coming on? Appreciate the help.

From what ive read, you need the resistor, the passenger sensor from the oem seat plugged in and tucked, then a seatbelt head attached to prevent any light.

In regards to this below, I can get a passengers seat with a popped airbag. Would the plugs be the same for drivers and passengers sides, or are they wired differently because of the sensor in the passengers seat?

This is correct- however your passenger airbag light will always be on and the passenger seatbelt will always chime. You will need to have someone turn that chime off or you'll rip your ears off

Even with the male end of the seatbelt connected?

It'll stop. If you get an insert

Can anyone verify the part number for the occupancy sensor ? Should be on the sensor itself. This will keep me from flipping my seat over and all that.
