they must of pushed off the change then because the most upto date proECU still has CPC/o2 as options for inputs.

But do they still have the additional support that would accompany those two settings, such as the ability to disable certain DTC codes that will pop up if you were to use those features? Screenshots would help if you can provide them.

Ok i tried and everything in USDM tunes still works as usual
Only the "nevc" function got blocked as for now
Probably going to reinforce the blocking soon??

The problem is that we don't know if there is a limit on how many days that can go by until the update software recognizes that you have exceeded a limit.

I finally had time to play with it in regeditor, it's very simple.
Upon a fresh install, the LastEcuTekUpdate entry is generated.

Go into regedit, change the name of this entry to whatever you want (I chose to add " old" to the end) and now it doesn't know when the last time it updated was.

So, Ill go on and ask a silly question. Do the new changes affect the ECUtek mobile apps? The last time I used the app for data logging t/s, it asked to update but fearing that if I updated I'd be left with a CEL I denied the update. This was around the April 25th time frame.

The concern is mostly for the tuning software.

And i will try and see the DTC list too.

it's still fully populated and no change at all in last software version

The blutooth module can also flash tunes via PhoneFlash so they are likely forcing any changes like nevc in that software as well no editing on phone flash that I'm aware of though

ecutek is pressing hard with the updates, i get a notification often in my laptop and they also try to update the obd interface

How can we backup versions of ProECU so that we can do a restore in the future in case something goes wrong? Does windows have a way to do that for specific applications or you need to have an image of the entire drive to restore to

tomm.brz 05-09-2023 12:32 PM

you cant
as soon as you install an update, the dongle gets overwritten with the last version of proecu so you can t downgrade even if you make a partition image, the dongle will stop the opening and force you to update
You can t also get flash points/license without updating proecu

Don't plug in your OFT to your PC - a forced update will appear, even after pressing Skip update. I have no idea why forced update but I can only imagine what's at play. Just sharing my experience. Im going Ecutek EU

Edit

For android users you can download an older version proecu app and shut off auto updates.

dragonat112 05-11-2023 01:17 PM

so when you say this, non CAN flex fuel kits still work and can be tuned? I'm in the middle of getting a tune with a FF kit and I haven't done any updates
