Cadillac announced today that all "wait list" orders for the 2023 Lyriq are full and beginning today any placed will be MY2024 preorders rather than 2023 wait list.
The press is at a drive event this week for the Lyriq, with a press hold until 6/28. There have been a couple of walkarounds of the production model though. This is the first one I've seen of a production vehicle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyyoBsaoXQU |

And driving Impressions with some POV
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMaXP6_t2xM Watched several other reviews. Biggest complaints are: Weird Door Entry No Frunk (GM has said all along it wouldn't have one as they chose to keep the electronics under the hood to conserve space in the back) One reviewer from KBB likes the interior of a KIA better (?) No HUD No climate control/heated seats in the back. Overall though, the reviewers are saying Cadillac did it right. They only had the chance to drive the RWD, which has the motor out of the Hummer in it. Seems like the RWD has adequate power, but most think the AWD/500HP is the better deal as it is only a $2,000 option. Most have said it's the quietest car they have ever driven. GM has mics at each wheel and active noise cancellation inside that gets rid of squeaks and road noise. I've done some route planning with a couple of EV fueling apps. The range is relatively perfect for what I would say is 98% of my driving (road trips up to 600 miles a day). As an example, we are traveling from the Atlanta area to the Tampa area next week. Leaving home with a 90% charge, we would be required to make one charging stop about midway for under 30 minutes (fast charger) and would arrive at our destination with a 15% charge. Since we could easily combine that stop (it's at a Walmart with restaurants nearby) with a normal stop for us, charging is really no different than if we took our Suburban. |

Most dings are the same, door handles, some other minor things. Interesting how much he hated the radio system though, that's a new one. Most have raved on it. Maybe he got a bad "prelaunch" version? |

The first of the Lyriqs have been shipped to dealers. The first ones are going to NY, LA and Detroit per this article.

It’s time to get rid of the rearview mirrors on this kind of vehicle. Cameras would do the work even in a better way.
Probably this is related to regulations, and someone must be working on that. Saw the vehicle several times on the street, but did not have a chance to drive so far. It still reminds me a bulkier version of the european gen2 focus. First vehicle delivered was at Cadillac Novi. |

All in all the tech is way better but some of the old school equipment still has a place. |

The AWD version coming in January doesn't have that feature, supposedly because of the towing package on it. :iono: |
