I was entertained for miles. Took forever to get to 27.

5. At about 80, I was noticing the hood seemed to be lifting a bit at the front. I was worried the latch was failing. I'd not noticed that before, but what else is there to notice in the middle of ID?

Recently made a long drive from Wisconsin to Oregon, I noticed the hood doing this as well driving around 75-80.

Mine is on the low end of the MPG scale compared to others.

People reporting over 30mpg. I've never gotten better than the 27 I got on the trip using gas. I do have a leaad driving shoe, though.

yeah that has to be why, cause on the highway on a long drive I'm not accelerating a lot. I was doing 120 basically the entire way, maintaining a few car lengths' distance between me and the car in front. We never slowed to below 90 or went up past 140

EDIT: pretty religious about my tire psi as well. 36 psi all around

After 437 fill-ups, I've never had less than 27.60 MPG per tank. Best was 40.5.

Wait. For the tank? Measured? At what speed? Did you sneak some Av. gas in there?

I'm not willing to drive through a tank of gas at 50 mph for science.
