Currently typing this on my Pok3r. Don't have nearly the collection you have, but I have this keeb and a CM Storm QuickFire TK.

I've been eyeing the HHKB, but not sure if the Topre switches are worth it for the price...

Seriously, though, that's a pretty awesome collection you have. :drool:

Thanks dude! Just got the KBD75 yesterday. It's kind of turned into my endgame keeb. Might grab another one, but get some Cherry switches. The Gaterons on this one are kind of low quality.

The Pok3r RGB was my first "proper" mech. Ultimately, didn't end up liking it because of the lack of arrow keys, and I didn't like having to use a function key to get to them, so enter in the VA68(s).

Eh, the different switches either feel tactile, linear or clicky. And some take more force to depress than others.

About as simple as that gets!

Been there done that. My second wife is a massive upgrade over the first though (in every way). She still costs money but I don't consider it a waste. She is my best friend.

I knew she was a keeper after this conversation:
"I have to go to the parts store, I will be right back."
"can I go with you?"

7 years in and she still goes to the parts store with me. :)

Yeah, the lack of separate arrow keys is a little annoying for sure, but if you didn't know (which I'm sure you do know), you can switch the caps lock to a 2nd function key, so then you can use the arrow keys on i, j, k, l without ever having to take your hand off the home row, and then you don't have to bend your pinky or thumb a weird way to hit the right function key.

I rarely used the caps lock very often, so I don't miss that functionality, but doing it that way is obviously not for everyone!

I would like, overall, to have separate arrow keys, but this workaround has turned out to be a little more productive for me when coding, actually. :thumbup:

Any recommendations for future keebs for me?

On the other end of the spectrum I have my trusty 6 year old $9.99, mini, battery powered, USB remote, Ebay special that has soldiered through thousands of hours Fallout, more forum posts than should ever happen and been dripped on by more paints, gules, food, beer, coffee than one would realistically expect it to survive through.

To be honest, I didn't mess around with the layers all that often, I'm not a hardcore typist, so as long as it worked, that's all that mattered.

Depends on what you want really. I'm really digging the compact layout of the KBD75, and likely won't get a different layout for a while. But, I'm really digging the Vortex Vibe. If I can find something I can DIY for a reasonable price in that style, I'll probably jump at it. I miss having a number pad way more than I thought I would.

But now I have the issue of whenever I type on a membrane keyboard, I want to scream in agony, and then put a bullet in my brain.

I'm guessing your into the mechanical key feel. Cherry keys and all that. I'm picky about keyboards but more about the layout. For example every keyboard in your picture would not meet my layout requirements. It has to be the good old 101 standard but with Window keys. I hate the F-Keys all crammed together rather than groups of 4 like they should be. I also hate the newer layouts where someone thought it would be a good idea to rearrange the PgUp/Dn, Home/End, Ins/Del.

I'm a software developer so I need all these keys to be where I expect them to be.

Similar experience here although my 1st/Trial Wife of 3 years didn't cost me much when we split, she made more money than me at the time and we had no kids so it was pretty painless split.

Current wife and I are on year 31 and couldn't be better...
